Infrastructure and Academic Insights of JGU Sonipat

Overall Rating
Before taking admissions here I went to around 20 campuses and without any doubt JGU Sonipat has one of the best campuses in my opinion. I took admissions here in 2022 and graduated recently and from start to finish, University took care of everything so well. We were provided internships through our University and we got the opportunity to be a part of some of the most renowned societies of our University. From my personal experience, I was heard and was not just heard but helped as well.
 

Academics Rating
The University offers a great Economics program to the students. Our coursework was highly updated as per the trends of the industry. We didn't just have Macro and Microeconomics but Exchange Rate Regimes and Trading Policy as a part of our curriculum. So, I studied around 30 subjects and every subject was interlinked with Quantitative Economics.
Our fees were around Rs. 3,00,000/- per year. The hostel fee was around Rs. 3,40,000/- per year.
 

Faculty Rating
Some classes were held online from International professors who were also Economists. They have taken many vital classes for us. The professors who were teaching at the University also have served as Economists or Financial Advisors in top corporate houses. We were taught from some of the best Economists and Financial Market Experts such as Prakash Gabba Sir and Nitin Murarka Sir.
 

Placement Rating
Axis Capital is where I got placed from our campus but I had to decline it as I wanted to study further. But, placements at the University are simply great.
 

Hostel Rating
There are 6 girls’ hostels at our campus and all are outstanding. The mess fee was included in the hostel fee and we were served four meals a day and there were also laundry services. Round the clock security and indoor recreational rooms were there too. We were free to roam at the campus for as long as we wanted to.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our campus is huge as it is over 80 acres and it has facilities like none other. Apart from several sports facilities that we have, there is also an indoor meditation hall. ‘Naveen Jindal Sports Complex’ of our campus is very popular among students and all four canteens will see rush in it day in and day out. We also have a shopping complex and SBI Bank ATM too. Hostels are inside the premises and outside our campus we have some of the top cafes like ‘De Jour’ and ‘Yellow Bites’.
 

Campus Rating
At JGU Sonipat, I have never slept before 2 AM. We will have hangout sessions and during exams group study at the library are there. The biggest event at our University was not our annual fest ‘Biswamil’ but our sports fest ‘Magnus’. We also hosted a small department fest called ‘Arthaniti’. There's a student union at our University and its members will take a note of our wellbeing every now and then.

    I'll be giving my perspective solely from the law perspective since that is what I am pursuing. The University is surely one of the top ones in the country, be it in terms of faculty, course material, infrastructure, including library, common rooms, etc. It is just great.     One of the best colleges in India for students looking for an international education is O.P. Jindal Global University. As a B.com (Hons.) student in this college, I can safely say that J.G.U. is one of the best places for knowledge, wisdom, freedom and many more. The excellent professors, strong facilities and the energetic student community make J.G.U. a rewarding place to study.
