Kalasalingam University, Krishnankovil is 30th NIRF Ranking in 'Overall' in 2024

The overall review about Kalasalingam Academic of Research of Education University, Krishnankovil is enriching on both academic and personal level. The Kalasalingam University is not only for education but also for gaining skills and knowledge about leadership, mentorship, programming, etc. The Institution is active in sports, cultural, and tech events, hackathons as well as internships and many more. The university is in top 15 private universities in India. It has NIRF ranking of 30th in the year 2024. It has been accredited by NAAC with A++ grade. The university fosters joy and happiness. The students come from all over India and get to meet new friends and build connections. The university is one of the best according to me.

Mostly the academics in the Kalasalingam University college are very good in my view. The Lecturers are well qualified. They teach perfectly to help students understand the concepts. Lectures are easy to understand. In classrooms, they have a digital camera through which the lectures get recorded and students who miss the classes are able to access them on the portal.

Annual tuition fee ranges from Rs. 1,29,500/- to Rs. 1,85,000/- depending on branch, specialization, intermediate marks and joint entrance exam. KARE, Krishnankovil gives scholarship to students on merit basis. For instance, a student gets 95% marks in intermediate then he gets 30% scholarship.

Total faculty consists of approximately 250 members including professors and assistant professors. Every professor is well qualified and talented. Their teaching methodologies are great. Their teachings are not only limited to the subject matter but also extends to lessons on how to adjust in modern society and get a job during placement process. The University also has sports faculties. They are trained in multiple sport and conduct university sports meet. Students who play well are given a chance to go to other universities’ tournaments too.

I am a second year student. I don't know that much about the placement selection yet. However, in selection process, CGPA plays an important role. The recruiters take two categories: one is students with 8+ CGPA and student with CGPA under 8. Both categories have separate interviews. The students must have knowledge of all the programming languages like C, C++, PYTHON, JAVA, etc. For interview preparation, they conduct special classes in the University. Almost 300+ companies are tied with the University. The average package is of Rs. 4,50,000/- and the highest package have been of Rs. 50,00,000/-.

The university has 9 hostels in total. There are 3 girls’ hostels and 6 boys’ hostels. The warden is different for each. There are two types of hostels: the big ones and the smaller ones. The smaller hostels contain 150 four-sharing rooms. There are different types for rooms available. 4 sharing, 5 sharing, 4 sharing AC, 2 sharing, 5 sharing attached washroom, etc. The mess food is average and can be rated 3/5. The fees structure of the hostels is as follows: 4 sharing non AC non- attached washroom is of Rs. 87,000/-. 4 sharing AC attached washroom is of Rs. 1,30,000/-,5 sharing non AC attached washroom charges Rs. 95,000/- and 2 sharing is around Rs. 85,000/-Outsiders, non-hotel students and any kind of outside food is not allowed in the hostel premises.

The university is quite big. It is located in Krishnankovil, Madurai. The classrooms here have 70 seating capabilities, with screens and projectors. Different labs for CSE, ECE, EEE, BIO TECH, FOOD TECH, etc are available. The library is huge and has separate blocks for different streams. There are 3 to 5 seminar halls with available space for nearly 3000 people. The campus has multiple canteens, juice shops, stationary items, xerox shops, etc. Courts for mini cricket, basketball and volleyball are available. There are indoor spaces for badminton, chess and carom as well.

My campus life is excellent. There are many clubs in the college like Visakha, Pyros club, Sparks, Photography and Dance clubs. I am a member of Visakha the dance club. Students are allowed to choose what they want for themselves in the college. There are fests and many events happening here every year. Many celebrities are invited to our college during those events. I am enjoying my college life very much.
