My Opinion on Annamalai University Chidambaram

Overall Rating
Right now I am in my 3rd year in Annamalai University. The teachers, students, and other staff members are very good. Our University has good building and infrastructure. The University is located in town area so you can have the access to the entire necessary thing such as transports, etc. This is a Government University so this is another positive point.
 

Academics Rating
I'm studying Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science. This is a good course to pursue. The academics of this University focus more on the practical learning, so it will improve your skills. The mid exams will be conducted twice in a semester. One semester will end in 5 months and after that final exams will be conducted. The exams are easy and you can score well by just focusing in the class.
The fees of my University is quite affordable for all the courses. It also provides scholarship to the students based on their family income and marks.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of this University are good and they have more than 20 years of experience in this field. They use the teaching method which is convenient for you. If you are good in studies then they will give you extra marks also but if you are not that good in students then they will make you study. They use several teaching methods such as blackboards, PPTs, group discussion, etc. The problem solving abilities of the faculty members is good. Apart from the studies, you can learn various others things from them as well. The faculty members of this University are very friendly.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the University has placement cell. I am in my third year so I don’t have much knowledge about the placements but what I heard positive things from others about it. You will get placed by just upgrading your skills.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, our University provides hostel facilities to the students. I am in Golden Jubilee hostel and it is good. The hostel has nice infrastructure and it is well constructed. There are around 500 rooms in our hostel. They also provide triple sharing room. The mess is neat & clean, it provides 3 time meals which are of good quality. The rules of the strict are not that strict but the students have to get back to the hostel before 9:00 PM. Overall, the hostel is fun, it provide a homely atmosphere.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of Annamalai University is good. The University has a huge campus in 1000 acres, which is well maintained. The University has separate area for every department. The classrooms are fully air conditioned and equipped with blackboard and projectors. The classrooms can accommodate around 200 students. The campus has Libraries, labs, event halls, conference hall, etc. The University has a large auditorium huge sports ground, and a canteen which provides good food and snacks. My favorite thing in this University is programming lab which has new computer systems and high speed internet.
 

Campus Rating
My overall experience in this University till now is awesome. I am very happy that I am studying in this University. The campus is not that crowded. There are so many department oriented club. The University also has NCC & NSS units. It organises various extracurricular activities such as hackathons, sports week, and many others. Various festivals are also celebrated here such as Pongal, Diwali, Onam, etc. which is very fun and engaging. Various departmental events are conducted. I would recommend others to take admission in this University.
