About IIST Indore: All the Aspects

Overall Rating
The IIST Indore is a very good Institute for middle class students. The fee here is affordable and any student can afford it. I chose this Institute because of its eco-friendly campus and lush green campus. The Institute provides a good platform to the students who were unable to score good marks in the entrance exam.
 

Academics Rating
Taking admission in this Institute is not that tough but the students have to score decent marks in the JEE Main. Anyone can apply through MPDTE counseling. They offer wide range of program such as AIM, Data Science, Electronic & Communication, etc. The admission in Computer Science brand is tough because the cut-off of it is very high as compared to other branches.
The semester fee of my course is Rs. 36,000/- because I belong to the General category. I haven’t got any scholarship because I scored less marks in my class 12th board.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of IIST Indore are highly educated and experienced. They have very good command over their respective subjects and they treat us very well. The teachers clear our doubts. You just have to be disciplined in front of them and show interest in their subject. The teaching methods include PPTs, etc. Overall, the faculty members are good.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the Institute has Training & Placement cell. The cell is very active and they try their best to provide placement opportunities to each and every deserving student. Wipro, Infosys, etc. are the companies visit our campus for recruitment.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the Institute provides hostel facilities to the students. I was a hosteller last year. The hostel is huge and very well organised. The hostel fee is Rs. 1,20,000/- per year. The hostel provides various facilities such as laundry services, mess, sports facilities, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is huge which can accommodate around 4000 students. The Institute’s building is divided into three blocks such as A, B & C block. From this year we will have a new building for the first year students. The campus has various computer labs, three auditoriums for various extracurricular activities, etc. The lab has modern computer systems and they are very good for learning.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life till now is good. There are various clubs in IIST Indore such as Lexicon club, Cultural club, Poetry club, Dancing club, Music club, and various others. All these clubs combined their work and organise annual fest called Dazzle. In this fest, the Institute invites famous celebrities from Bollywood. I will advice students to visit the campus at least one time.

    This institute is not so costly in terms of academic fee. There are also many clubs. Clubs that are active are useful for students. Now labs provide New generation systems for students (i5 or i7) for the students. Now, it has started providing ACs in class along with some other advanced features that have been proving helpful for the students as students start learning programming language from the first year onwards.   • IIST has one of the best infrastructures

    IIST is a brand name that has no value left. In the name of placements only few students irrespective of their branches are placed in Tech Mahindra and TCS and college will keep patting themselves on their back that they have got their students placed in some of the top IT companies of India. Fees is quite low and that perhaps is the only plus point because in 2 lakhs one can easily become engineer here which is not possible in most of the private colleges or universities in India.
