NEET Scores are Required for Admission in GDC Chennai Program

My overall experience so far is good. I have learned a lot of things in this College. The faculty members are also very supportive. I chose this College because it is one of the most reputed Colleges in Chennai. It provides good practical exposure to the students. We will become well trained and good Doctor because of the kind of patient exposure the College provides us.

I chose Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). I chose this course because I want to become a good Dentist and help the people who are facing problems regarding oral cavity. The eligibility criteria are that the students must have completed their class 12th with PCB as a mandatory subject. For admission, the students have to qualify NEET entrance exam and score good rank in it. After that, the students have to appear in the counseling. The College conducts exams on yearly basis. Internal tests and practical exams are conducted on regular basis. My course focuses on both the theories and the practical learning. We have to provide treatment to the real patient which is a very good thing. Overall, the academics prepare us for real world challenges.

The tuition fee of my chosen course is Rs. 16,325/-. We need to pay Rs. 1110/- as a maintenance fee and mess fee which is of Rs. 115/- per day. The students who have completed their education from Government school, their fee is different. The College offers various scholarships to the students.

The faculty members of GDC Chennai are very good and approachable. They teach us really well. Majority of professors are graduated from this College only. The teaching methods depend from teacher to teacher. Most of the teachers us blackboard, PPTs, group discussion, etc. They are very helpful and solve the doubts of the students. The teachers are very supportive and we can approach them whenever we want.

Yes, our College offers separate hostel facilities to the students. A new hostel is under construction right now. The hostel has prosthodontics lab which is very helpful and we can complete our pending work there also. The mess is also available which provides average quality of food to the students. It provides 4 times meals in a day. The students have to enter the hostel by 9:00 PM.

The campus GDC Chennai is well organised and well maintained. It is located in the centre of the city so, it is very easy to commute to the campus. The campus has clinical labs, seminar hall, auditorium, conference hall, library which has huge collection of books, etc. Various other facilities are also available at the campus such as medical room, transport facilities, sports area, etc. The College provides round-the-clock security to the students. It is under construction right now.

My overall campus life is good till now. There are several clubs such as Sports club, Art club, etc. Every year, a College organise Tamil Mandairam art program which help us explore and showcase our talents. Several other inter College events are conducted for the students. I have made so many friends here.
