Tamilnadu Government Dental College and Hospital Fees Structure & Courses 2026, Chennai

I chose Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). I chose this course because I want to become a good Dentist and help the people who are facing problems regarding oral cavity. The eligibility criteria are that the students must have completed their class 12th with PCB as a mandatory subject. For admission, the students have to qualify NEET entrance exam and score good rank in it. After that, the students have to appear in the counseling. The College conducts exams on yearly basis. Internal tests and practical exams are conducted on regular basis. My course focuses on both the theories and the practical learning. We have to provide treatment to the real patient which is a very good thing. Overall, the academics prepare us for real world challenges.

The tuition fee of my chosen course is Rs. 16,325/-. We need to pay Rs. 1110/- as a maintenance fee and mess fee which is of Rs. 115/- per day. I chose Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). The entry requirements here are to qualify the NEET exam which is conducted by National Testing Agency. Also, the candidate should have the minimum marks above the level of cut off marks. Admission process here is very easier; it is done by the Medical Counseling Committee. The exams are conducted semester wise but the main exam has been conducted at the end of the academic year. Many internal assessments are conducted by the College per month for better performance.

The fee of my course is less as compared to other Colleges. The fee that I have paid in my first year is Rs. 19,873/-. The examination fee is Rs. 7000/-. Fees details includes tuition fee of Rs. 4000/-, special fee of Rs. 2000/-, caution deposit of Rs. 1000/-, library fee which is Rs. 1000/-, etc.Read Full Review

I chose Bachelor of Dental Surgery [BDS] because of my strong interest in it. It is a very good career and provides high paying job roles. For admission, the students need to qualify NEET UG exam. The admission process is very systematic, 85% of the seats are for state students and 15% seats are for those who belong to different states. Every year the exams are held and the College also conducts internal exams and class tests. This College is associated with Madras Medical College. The academics help us enhance our skills and build confidence.

The fee of Tamilnadu Government Dental College and Hospital for the first year is Rs. 16,325/-. The mess fee is Rs. 3,500/- per month. There are various scholarships available for the students.Read Full Review
