Pursuing Bachelor from KMC New Delhi

Overall Rating
My overall experience till now in KMC New Delhi is quite good. I have made a lot of friends. The hostel life is also good. The societies have improved my communication skills and I am learning a lot of things here. This is one of the best Colleges in Delhi. All the seniors are very kind and supportive.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Sc (Hons.) in Mathematics. I chose this course because I have an interest in it. The eligibility criteria are that the students must have passed their class 12th boards with at least 45%. For admission, you have to give CUET UG exam. After that, you have to register yourself on DU portal. And then, you have to submit the required documents. The exams are conducted semester wise which also include internal exams as well. The subject will improve your critical skills and will prepare you to face the real world challenges.
The fee of my course is Rs. 17,300/- per year. A special discount is also provided to the students who belong to PWD category, single girl child, and SC/ST students. The scholarship and financial aids is also available for the students.
 

Faculty Rating
There are 3 teachers in my department. Two of them have done Masters and one teacher has done Ph.D. All the teachers have cleared NET JRF. They mostly teach us with the help of blackboard. They also use PPTs and group discussion teaching method. The problem solving ability of faculty is average. Most of the times you have to initiate, if you are facing any problems in your academics. The teacher to student ratio is 3:40. Some of the faculty members are very approachable.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the College has placement cell. It offers a lot of internship and placements to the students. The cell conducts several workshops which enhance the skills of the students so that they can secure a good job. A lot of companies visit the campus for recruitment such as Zomato, Samsung, Bank of America, Amazon, Indigo, Bisleri, Hindustan Times, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the College offers residential facilities but only to the male students who got good marks in their academics. There are around 100 rooms in the hostel and 200 students are living there. The mess is available which provides 3 times meals a day. The workers in the mess take care of the hygiene. The hostel rules are not that strict and the fee per semester is Rs. 38,800/-. The hostel gates remain open from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The students are responsible for the damage that they have caused in the hostel. My personal experience at the hostel is quite good. The hostels are like home away from home.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The College has various blocks for different departments. The campus is located in a good locality. The classrooms have the sitting capacity of around 50 to 60 students. Some classrooms have AC facilities too. The campus has labs, library, seminar hall, conference hall, etc. The auditorium is under construction right now. Various departmental labs are also available. The College has canteen, medical facilities, sports facilities, transportation facilities, etc. The security guard is also present at the College entrance gate. My favorite place is the canteen and lawn.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life is pretty good till now. The campus crowd is decent. There are a lot of clubs and societies. I am also a part of various clubs and societies such as Roundtable, Bhoomi, Kartavya, Enactus, Tensors, etc. KMC New Delhi organises various extracurricular activities for the students. It also conducts a Diwali Mela and annual fest which is known as ‘Aashayein’ in the month of February. Some famous singers are also invited. My experience is quite good.

    It has been nothing but a wonderful experience at Kirori Mal College, which is by the way considered one of the best UG colleges. Trust me it does deserve this title. It secured 9th NIRF ranking in 2024, which make me proud that I am able to study in one of the top colleges of India.     I Think my College, Kirorimal College New Delhi, is one of the finest College of India which offers multiple courses with such renowned faculties and their experience.
