IIITDM Kanchipuram: Infrastructure, Facilities & Environment

Overall Rating
Overall my experience was good. I am currently in my 2nd year at IIITDM Kanchipuram. In this Institution is no ragging system. Most of the seniors are very friendly and they help you to crack exams easily by giving tips. Faculty is also very friendly. I personally like the gym and the good thing is that they are updating machinery of gym for students. College does have clear roads which is good for running as it is rush free.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen the course Computer Science and Engineering major in Artificial Intelligence. The reason behind why I select this course is that this field will be boomed in upcoming future. It will be highly in demand. The academics will prepare you well for real life challenges. Admission depends on the cutoff of that year.
They have fee concession for PwD and SC/ST. There is no tuition fee for PwD and ST/SC. For General, EWS, and OBC category the tuition fee is Rs. 90,000/- annually.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are highly educated and some of them are graduated from the IIT's and NIT's. Some faculty will explain one concept in two to three different ways to make it is easy for students to understand. There are certain timings when they will be present in their cabins and if you have any doubt so you can reach out to them to get it solved. Faculties are very friendly, supportive, and understanding.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, they do provide accommodations to the students. There are three hostels assigned to B.Tech boys named as Aswatha, Annex, and Ashoka. The capacity of 'Ashwatha Hostel' has Around 540 Rooms. There is a chance that every year your will be change and it will allocated by them. There will two head per room. They maintain proper hygiene and everyday they clean your room. Hostel timings at nights are as you have to get back before 12 AM. You have to submit your biometric everyday.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There is library available for students to study. Academic block is where you can attend the classes. There are well equipped labs and some of the classes have AC. The capacity of the classroom is approximately 100 to 120 students. My favorite thing in the Institution is that they have planted plants everywhere. Some of this place in the Institution does have pretty view because they have beautiful drawings in the walls.
 

Campus Rating
My overall experience in the Institution is really good. They organize fests such as 'Samgatha', 'Vashisht', and many more. Clubs are there which anyone can join and learn something new on the basis of their interest.

    It is a Private Autonomous Institute. Presently, I am in 3rd semester, I am still exploring the IIITDM Kancheepuram, but I say what I felt here. In the starting, I do not like the Institute, I think due to homesick. However, I opened up myself I experienced 1 year here, what I have to say, here will be good infrastructure, labs, friendly facilities, playground, supportive coordinators.     My experience at IIITDM Kancheepuram is good so far. It is one of the best Institutes. The infrastructure, hostel facilities, everything is great here.
