My College Life at JNTUA College of Engineering, Anantapurntpur

Overall Rating
JNTUA College of Engineering Anantapur is overall a good College according to me. I chose this College because of its lower tuition & hostel fees, friendly teachers, and good placements. Moreover, ragging is considered a serious offence here and any student found guilty will be detained or suspended.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Tech (CSE) course because of my interest in software and experimenting new things. The admission process is very simple and they will guide you well throughout the process. The eligibility criteria for this College is to score well in the Intermediate or the entrance exams. Exams are conducted twice per semester and in a strict way. Academics are good but I wish it was a little more industry-relevant.
I pay Rs. 10,000/- per year. There is also a facility to study in aboard after 3rd year which is separate category and has a separate fee structure. Scholarships are also provided to the students based on their ranks in entrance tests, category, etc. Starting hostel will be Rs. 5000/-. The extra amount will be come later.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are well-experienced in their subject. The professors explain things clearly using PPTs and other teaching methods. There is 1 teacher for 60 students in each class but in my course, the ratio is 1:80 due to foreign students.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are average. They are ranged from 4 LPA to 6 LPA. However, some teachers suggest the students to look for job opportunities on their own.
 

Hostel Rating
There are residential facilities available for students at JNTUA Anantpur. There are 4 students in each room and each student gets one cupboard, one chair, and one reading table. Rooms are very clean. Wi-Fi connectivity can be improved.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The JNTUA College of Engineering Anantapur campus is very big. Each department has its own building with Labs and Faculty Rooms. The Library is well-maintained and has all types of books whether academic or non-academic. However, the books need to be updated. Wi-Fi facility is also available. Moreover, the Sports Ground is very big and students are encouraged by the sports coach to play daily and even take part in competitions.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is average. The fests and events are organised by students with permission from the faculty and can go on for 2 to 3 days . Strength is very good. There is a great number of opportunities and activities present in this College. Sports Day is also organised in which students from different departments compete with each other.

    Overall my journey at JNTUA was fulfilling, enjoyable along with lot of exams and assignments (common struggle of students). I have made some good friends and found true purpose of my career.
