JNTUA College of Engineering, Anantapur: My Personal Point of View

Overall Rating
I chose Computer Science and Engineering course at JNTUA College of Engineering Anantapur because of its popularity. The quality of education provided by this Institution for this particular degree is good. The difference between other Colleges and this one is the Government professors here are qualified and they are assigned as faculty only if they pass a particular examination. The fee here is also very low and affordable.

Academics Rating
The course I chose is B.Tech CSE. The motive for joining this stream is because of today's trend towards technology. The entry requirements for this College are qualifying EAPCET for B.Techstudents and ECET for Diploma students. There is no complex admission process because of this exam. The frequency of the exams is every 3 months. For every 3 months, mid semester exams will be conducted which is followed by labs, and semester exams. The curriculum makes the students ready for the industry. There are almost 400 students enrolled each year in this Institution.
A yearly Rs. 50,000/- scholarship is provided for the students with below 5000 rank in entrance exam. And the toppers of every year will be provided an amount of Rs.10,000/-.

Faculty Rating
The faculty here are mostly good and their teaching levels are up to the mark. Coming to their background, most of them are graduated from this college only. Their method of teaching will be 90 percent from PPTs and about 10 percent on the black board. The problem solving skills of the teachers are good as well. For every 20 student, one mentor is present. The professors also clear our personal doubts regarding our career. Sports faculty is also available here.

Placement Rating
Placement cell is present at the campus. Frequently, mock interviews are also conducted by them for training the students. The highest package in the College is 10 LPA and the average package is about 3 LPA.

Hostel Rating
Yes, JNTUA Anantapur has residential facilities. Nearly 400 members are present in one hostel where 4 members share each room. Girls and boys hostel is separate and the gates are closed by 9:00 PM. The quality of food and accommodation is good as well and the monthly fee is about Rs. 3500/- to Rs. 4000/-.

Infrastructure Rating
The size of the College is very big where six departments are located separately. The furniture of the classrooms is very good where nice screens are present for the PPT presentations in the class. A library and a dispensary is also present in the campus. The security is very strict particularly for girls safety. Big ground is present in the Institution and the furniture of the lecture halls is very good. The class floors are very hygienic as well.

Campus Rating
The overall campus life at JNTUA College of Engineering Anantapur is good. There are nearly 2000 students Apart from the academics, extracurricular activities are highly encouraged in this College. There are around 9 clubs here. Yearly about 2 events are conducted, and department wise another 2 events are conducted. The atmosphere here is good.
