Campus Area of Poornima University Jaipur is around 32 Acres

My entire experience at Poornima University Jaipur was about skill-building and networking. I got to interact with several industry leaders and alumni of great Universities like the MIT University in the US. I did not only make great friends but also met genius professors and faculty members who invested their essential time and efforts into us without any complaints. I heard about this University being one of the best Universities in Jaipur from my cousins who were also alumni of this Institution. I am glad I joined here as a student. I visited a lot of Universities to explore better options however, none of them could provide transparent and informative counselling like that of here.

I pursued my Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) course from PU Jaipur. My specialisations were Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Despite being from a non-tech background, I was scoring great and learning the Coding concepts well. All thanks to the professors who were never teaching technical subjects with an assumption of students having pre-requisite knowledge all the time. Besides, the admission was simple as well. I mean there were no repetitive forms asking the same thing again and again. Furthermore, after I got admission, we had 2 main Exams each semester including mid-term and end-term exams. The pattern of these exams was specially designed to train the students to deal with real-world issues.

The total fees for my course was around Rs. 3,40,000/-. Initially, the Registration fee was a minimal amount of Rs. 2100/-. The fee structure was well-explained by the counsellor in the Admission Cell, segregating the Admission, Tuition, and Exam fee for every semester. There were several financial aid options that we as students could apply from the Government websites. Students could also contact the Student Welfare Cell to inquire about the same.

All the faculty members teaching our batch were highly qualified enough to even teach the MCA and B.Tech batches. Hence, I got to learn from the best of the best. They were always eager to share their knowledge with the students. I was working on some of my own projects in the 2nd year and because I was a beginner at it, I had a lot of queries related to my code. My professor took time out of his schedule to sit with me and read every line of code I wrote to identify the bugs and resolve them with me. So, I would say that the professors and teachers were very approachable and amiable towards their students.

We had a Placement Cell that used to mail regularly on our University mail IDs. Their updates included upcoming placement drives, company meet-ups, and industry-related sessions/webinars/visits. This made us very confident about our choice of University and prepared us for campus-drives.

The University does offer residential facilities to students who are not day scholars. There were separate hostels for girls and boys. Several activities were conducted for hostellers during the weekends. Moreover, students were provided with Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner at the Mess with proper hygiene and quality maintained. I was a day scholar hence, this is all I could observe about the hostels.

The Academics and the Administrative block of the University were separated at the Poornima University Jaipur. The campus spread across 32 acres of land. My batch was usually made to sit in Computer Labs with proper personal Computers designated to each student. Furthermore, each of these Lab Rooms had 40 fully-working PCs with limited or no GPU. This made it easier for us to log our work and progress on one PC. For non-technical subjects, we were taught in huge and spacious Classrooms and Lecture Rooms.

My campus life was really good. It has been 2 years since I passed out of and yet, I have my University friends and networks connected with me. There were several Clubs catering to the different hobbies and interests that each student possessed from e-gaming to literature! Every semester, for every batch, there was a beautifully-organised Cultural Fest. Moreover, there were Navratri Nights and the famous Annual Event called ‘Lakshya’ in which the entire University (professors, day scholars, hostellers, and everyone) resided inside the giant campus for 3 to 5 days and enjoyed different activities, sports, and concerts!
