Panjab University is one of the oldest universities in India and there are more than 100 courses which are running inside the campus. College is full of resources as well as there are many opportunities that are waiting for us. It is one of them few universities that are funded by the both state and central governments. Fee is very minimal in the institute for almost every course that is being offered in the university. The pharmacy department of the university is rank among the top three colleges in India which make it a premium pharmacy college of the country for vey less fee. I did not choose this university because I was fortunate to get in to this university after my counselling process. Everyone who wants to go for the higher studies should join this college because you cannot get better than this.

Graduation is must for the admission in the course in Pharmacy only along with the good GPAT score which is entrance exam for the course and I started my preparation for this course in my second year of my graduation. Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test is a very difficult test and to qualify this test you need to study all the pharmacy subject in the graduation with good focus and you should make clean notes for each subjects because by doing so we can easily revise any subjects fast. There are only four semesters in the M. Pharma and the difficulty of the semester exam is very high and by studying one week before the exam we cannot get good marks. My motivation for the course was personal which was that all my family members thought that I cannot do something big in my life.

There is a lot to learn in this course in Panjab University from the great faculty members. Since all the faculty members were very good in their fields and their area of interest so I never had any problem in understanding any topic in my subjects and I learn most of the subjects by self study and whenever I had any doubt I just go in the faculty room and asked and no faculty member refuse to answer my doubt even in the exam times when the teachers are very busy. All the teachers were very professional but they also made some personal connection with the students and they really sometimes inspire us to do more in life. Teachers; background was very good and all of the teacher were experts and masters in their subjects since they completed their studies from the best pharmacy college in the world.

Final year students eligible for the placements and they can apply for the companies that visit the campus for the hiring. Some of the best pharma industries around the world visit the campus for the recruitment and the eligibility for the placements are that we should have completed first year without any backlogs furthermore the percentage criteria depend on company to company like some companies has no percentage criteria and some ask for the eighty percent and some ask for the sixty percent the in the M. Pharma and In B. Pharma. In my batch placements were very good and majority of the students got placed in good companies. Cipla, Mankind Pharma, Sun Pharma, Emcure Pharma, and Dr. Reddy's visit the campus every year and they offer really good salary to the fresher students.

Hostels situation is very different in the Panjab University since the demand for the hostels is very high and we have to wait for the hostel allotment after applying for the hostel and we need wait one year to get the hostel. The main reason for this is that every student wants to live inside the college hostel since the charges of room in the college hostel are very less than that of the hostel which is available outside the campus. I got the college hostel in my second year after applying one year prior and the fee for the hostel is around Rs. 10,000 for a year excluding the other charges. Food quality is also major thing in the hostel and very good quality if food we get in the hostel inside the university. Many recreation events are organized by the students in the college hostel.

College infrastructure cannot be explained in word because it is thing to experience. College area is more than 500 acres further more we need transportation amenities to visit the campus and to go from the hostel to the academic blocks. There would more than hundred buildings the campus along with many trees also which makes the campus very green. Academic blocks here in the Panjab University are very shiny even after this university is more than 140 years old and the architecture of the blocks is also a center of attraction. Other than theses up points of the organization, there is more in the campus like there is Moot Court in the campus along with this there is Hospital in the campus. Furthermore there is a transportation facility inside the campus area. Shopping complex and sports amenities and the auditorium is also a very well place in the campus area.

So first year of my college life was wasted in corona virus due to the lockdown. In my second I had experienced the college life and then I was able to get all the exposure of the campus. One of the main events in the campus is the elections which are much hyped event and all the campus is filled with posters. Other than the elections cultural fest and the inter sports events are also very much celebrated event in the campus with huge participation from the students. Many Bollywood and Punjabi celebrities came to the university for the performances. Some of the clubs in the college are Rotract Club, Art and Photography Club, Music Club, Dramatics Club, Communication Club and Pharmacy Club. There are many engagement activities are organized by the students in the college.
