Conference Hall of UEM Kolkata has Capacity of Nearly 1500 Students

University of Engineering and Management Kolkata is one of the best Universities of Kolkata. The faculty members are always there to help the students even after the University hours. The University is different from the other Universities, as the students are required to do hands on projects since the first year from the University, which makes them familiar with the projects they will be doing during the final years of their University. The students are also given special placement classes from second year, which helps them, prepare properly for their placements during the final year.

The B.Tech course in this University provides the students with excellent academics as well as placements. Students can get into this University through their entrance exam EMCEE, the rank on that exam decides which course is available to the students along with the other factors like board marks and WBJEE rank. The admission process is done in ashram building in Salt Lake sector V.

The total fees of this course are Rs. 7,00,000/-. During admission, a fixed amount needs to be submitted and there are separate fees for uniform as well. There is no reservation system for fees deduction all are treated equally and the fees is same for the streams as well whether from ECE, IT or CSE. After enrolling into the course, some students are given scholarships depending on the financial conditions or other valid reasons.

The faculty members of UEM Kolkata are very helpful they are always ready to help whenever required even after the University hours. The faculty members are mostly from IITs and NITs. The teaching method of the faculties varies some prefer teaching on board while other prefer PPT mode. Overall the faculties are very helpful and they can be approached through WhatsApp as well they are always ready to help the students in all the possible ways.

The University has three buildings in total, there is an AV hall mostly used for seminars or pre-placement talks. There are different labs for different subjects. There is also a basketball court and medical room. The cafeteria is there which has food for the students. The has over more than 50,000 books library which are open for the students .The classrooms are big, airy and has capacity of over 100 students.

The overall campus of this University is not as big as shown in the movies .The seminar hall during the seminars sometimes feels too crowded when the whole batch gathers. There are different clubs in the University like Dance club, Drama club, Singing club, Quiz Club, sports Club, and what not. All the students get a chance At least once in their University life to display their talents in this University. There are mainly to fests held in this University one is the tech fest known as Reckon where students get the chance for displaying their technical talents and the other is the Ecstasies, which is the annual cultural fest of this University.
