My Educational Journey at Shoolini University Solan

Overall Rating
My overall experience at the Shoolini University Solan was quite good. Initially, my plan was to attend any University of Southern India but due to some unforeseen reasons that plan did not go well. So one of my childhood friend who also was my senior recommended me this University in the hills of Himalayas. Apart from studies, this University provided a various means in which a student can participate in something outside of classroom.
 

Academics Rating
I was a Humanities student and that particularly helped me to choose BBA as my course because I liked Economics and scored pretty well in that too. There was no need of specific requirements that just had to belong to either Commerce or Economics background. The exam frequency was pretty high, like in every semester, we had to give 3 exams. I am sure not how much it helped me in preparing for real-world issues but it did helped me to figure out my career path.
The fees were pretty high for the given general BBA degree but as I scored 95% in my 12th board, I was awarded scholarship for 2 semesters. The amount was Rs. 55,000/- for each semester excluding exam registration and semester registration fees.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members were not up to the mark after the 1 year. The method of teaching was usually through PPTs and assignments. Almost all the faculty was helpful and approachable and we did not find any issue in interacting with them even after the class. Appreciation and reward was also provided by the faculty to the student doing well in exams or assignment.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, a Placement Cell is present at the Shoolini University Solan. The average package was around 3 LPA to 4 LPA and highest was 15 LPA. I got placed as a CRM manager at Easy diner and the whole process went really smooth.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There were various academic blocks available at the campus and as University is situated in the hills of Himalayas, so it was surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenic views. Infrastructure is something they invested a lot as classrooms were in a good conditions, we had big library with laptops, etc. There was a trails that went behind my block so sometimes I used to go there and trek a lot.
 

Campus Rating
As an extrovert, my campus life was very good. I interacted with lots of other departments’ students a lot. I was part of 3 to 4 clubs, always participating in different engagement activities. Due to my social life that I got to experience here. I personally evolved as a person a lot. Spring fest, NSS events, community work, seminars etc were few of the events I participated in my University. I was involved in lots of event coordination, guest handling and cultural fest also.

    As we all know Shoolini University has a natural plus point of being calm and pleasant by being in the lap of Himachal. Students studying here really have positive impact on their mental life. The placement criteria are also good along with the extraordinary infrastructure. AI block has free access to computer labs.     Green campus is the beauty of this university and this is acutely number 1 university of Himachal Pradesh. Shoolini University is located in Kashuali hills in Solan which is a very beautiful place of Himachal.     Most of the students including me were very keen to get into this university located in the mountains, but we all got a little disappointed as the experience is unique but not what we expected. Living in mountains in not an easy task, going to the classes is a hassle, the campus size is comparatively smaller to what other universities offer.
