POV on GEU Dehradun: Admission Process, Fees, and Scholarships

Overall Rating
It has been a year since I joined Graphic Era University Dehradun. My experience over here is great. I learnt here a lot through classes and clubs. Here you are not only taught how to study or get a job but also extra things like soft skills and showing them in the stage provided. I chose this one as it is in my hometown and is a very renowned organisation trusted by many families.
 

Academics Rating
Forensic is the course I am pursuing as it connects two opposite things Science and Crime Scene. 10+2 passed with decent marks is the main criteria to get admission in this University. The admission process is also done smoothly as the guidelines and support are provided in both online & offline modes to the students. 2 exams are held in every semester. The academic prepares us very nicely for the real life challenges.
Rs. 1,30,000/- is a yearly fees. The fee includes several charges like bus, ID card, and tuition. However, in the first year as additional amount is paid for uniform and security fees. Discount and scholarships are provided to students who have excellent marks or are disabled or from below poverty line.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is friendly and teaching skills are great. They come from a decent class background. They teach with the help of board, PPTs, and group discussion whatever is required. Their problem solving abilities are great the help students too. The student teacher ratio is also balanced. I share a great bond with my teachers, as they are easily approachable and listen to our problems and then advice us and take action.
 

Placement Rating
Graphic Era University Dehradun has Placement Cell helps the students acquire the jobs they want conduct placement drives and help students prepare properly. Renowned organisations visit the company and offer a decent package.
 

Hostel Rating
As I am a local so I do not have hostel experience or any review but I know there is a strict checking of everything when the students enter or exits the hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The University’s infrastructure is very great consisting of different buildings for different departments. The facilities from canteen to all are great and my favorite thing is the hanging spot where we can sit peacefully and enjoy the view. There are different labs related to science and for practical work providing a learning and workspace for everything you want to learn and do research about. Every building consists of seminar hall.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is very good. The crowd is outstanding. Several clubs are based on different interests of the student from debating clubs to sports club. The campus life is so good that I feel like coming to University every day.

    At GEU Dehradun, studies are made easier as when I enrolled for Engineering, I thought it would be very tough and I will be studying all day long. However, university timings are quite lengthy but after coming back, there is no touching to any of the textbooks or the laptop for studies.
