My Honest Outlook on Sister Nivedita University Kolkata

Overall Rating
Firstly, the best thing about the Sister Nivedita University Kolkata is there is no ragging. Students’ concerns are taken very seriously, especially my department. So academically, it is great. A student individually needs to be very careful about keeping University’s environment positive and tidy.
 

Academics Rating
As I stated earlier, the curriculum is planned very meticulously. Eligibility for taking admission in my program is to have decent marks in 10+2. Exams are held very frequently. Academics partially prepare you for real life challenges.
The fee of one semester is always taken before the end of previous semester otherwise you will not get any admit card for your upcoming examination. Scholarship is paid based on your 12th percentage.
 

Faculty Rating
Some teachers are extremely good and talented. The teach using white board.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the University has a Training & Placement Cell (TPC). Though, job opportunities they provide can be much better.
 

Hostel Rating
I do not live in hostel so I do not know much about. However, I heard from friends that quality of food is satisfactory and can be improved.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Talking about infrastructure, it has a basketball court, seminar hall, library, and other requisite amenities. There is also a first aid room as well as food truck and canteen where food prices are reasonable. There are security cameras in classes.
 

Campus Rating
Yes, there are many clubs active at the Sister Nivedita University Kolkata. Many events and co-curricular activities are conducted as well. You have to stay updated for the same.

    The campus life in Sister Nivedita University is fun. There is no ragging. The academics do not give too much pressure. Exams are very easy. Faculties are not too strict for their rules. Class notes are enough for the exam. I took admission to this university because it had good reputation and easy to get in to. The university’s fee was also good.     My University has a ragging free campus where I can easily move out freely and the teaching process is kind of good.     I am a Literature student in SNU Kolkata, and the professors are very amiable for this subject. The infrastructure is very well equipped with all modern amenities and they encourage a lot of extracurricular activities along with academics. Moreover, as we reach near our graduation individuals are also trained for the job market with lessons on interviews, group discussions and etc. Overall, it's a wonderful University....
