Outlook over the Facilities of Sister Nivedita University

Overall Rating
The campus life in Sister Nivedita University is fun. There is no ragging. The academics do not give too much pressure. Exams are very easy. Faculties are not too strict for their rules. Class notes are enough for the exam. I took admission to this university because it had good reputation and easy to get in to. The university’s fee was also good. Although it does not have satisfactory placement, it is a good university for getting a degree.
 

Academics Rating
I took B.Tech CSE because I want to become Software Engineer. The eligibility criteria for B.Tech CSE is to get at least 70% in 12th standard. Admission process is fairly easy and the university faculty helps us with all the documents we need. Per semester, there are 2 exams (mid-term and end term). Well, the academic curriculum is similar to other university.
I paid Rs. 1,31,500 for 1st semester and from 2nd semester onwards, I had to pay Rs. 95,500 per semester. We had total of 8 semesters, so the total fee was rupees Rs. 8,00,000 . This includes all the criteria like tuition fee, lab fee ,exam fee, etc. Scholarship is available. For student with merit above 95%, 100% scholarship is given and with 90-95% marks, students are given 50% scholarship and 85-90% marks, students are given 25% scholarship. Along with that, all other government and other scholarships are available.
 

Faculty Rating
there are 3 faculty for per 60 student. they are very friendly and have a good background that ensure us that we are getting good professor and faculty. however their teaching quality can be better. they are kind to the student and inform us about any important event and info that we need. Professor teach us using ppt or some uses blackbaord to teach us. In the Labs, we are tought both in computer and in black board.
 

Placement Rating
Placement is available but it is given to very few students with 9+ CGPA. Popular companies like TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant visit us. The average package varies between 3 to 4 LPA. While some student get 40-50lpa job offer. Highest offer was 50 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are not available in our university.
 

Infrastructure Rating
It is located at the heart of Kolkata hence it is very big. The campus looks visually pleasing. Per class, we have 60 to70 seats. Lab classes have air conditioning and working computer. We have big seminar hall in each floor with air condition. Canteens are small but provide fresh food. We have 3 types of canteen. There is also a cafe with air condition. I like labs as they are well maintained. In the library, we have access to computer for our personal work.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good. Thousands of students are here. There are online clubs where we discuss about our event and skills to improve. I am part of GDG club. 3 to 5 events or activities are held in each semester. Campus life is ok.

    My University has a ragging free campus where I can easily move out freely and the teaching process is kind of good.     I am a Literature student in SNU Kolkata, and the professors are very amiable for this subject. The infrastructure is very well equipped with all modern amenities and they encourage a lot of extracurricular activities along with academics. Moreover, as we reach near our graduation individuals are also trained for the job market with lessons on interviews, group discussions and etc. Overall, it's a wonderful University....
