Overall Rating
I am currently doing B.Tech in Computer Engineering from Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Technology Mumbai and my experience until now has been quite good. The main reason I chose this one was its reputation and placement opportunities it gives to the students. The computer department has a good faculty. Many technical activities are conducted apart from regular lecture. We also have events, sports, and cultural activities, so Institute life is not just about academics. The campus has good labs, library, auditorium, canteen, and other facilities.
 

Academics Rating
One of the reasons to opt this Institute for B.Tech was that it is recognised by UGC. I chose this branch because I was interested in coding, technology, and wanted to continue in the it filed after Diploma. The academics are good. The syllabus is also updated; it is an autonomous unit now. We have regular internal assessments, practicals, and semester exams. Exams are usually moderate. If you attend lectures and study regularly, getting a good CGPA is possible.
I am a Open Category students and my fee is around Rs. 1,55,000/- per year. Since I joined through the Lateral entry, my course is of 3 years.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the teachers are well qualified and have good knowledge of their subjects. They are generally approachable when we have doubts and many of them give proper guidance for practicals and projects. Teaching depends on the subjects and teacher, but usually it includes the use of presentations and board. For internals, the teachers give good marks if you submit assignments & projects on time.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are one of the reasons many students consider the Institute . Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, and others have recruited students in recent placements seasons.
 

Hostel Rating
I have not personally stayed in the hostel so I do not want to give my personal opinion on that. As far as I know, there are distinct hostel for male and female students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is good. There are computer labs for all tech-based subjects. The library is also strong point with more than 50000 books and journals, e- recourses, and much more. The campus also has an auditorium, amphitheatre, sport facilities, and canteen. The canteen is decent and there are different food and juice options. My only complaint would be the Wi-Fi because connectivity can sometimes be unreliable. Facilities for TT, Chess, Foosball, and other sports are also provided to the students.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is actually one of my favorite parts. Technical events, hackathons, sports activities, and cultural programs are held throughout the year. ‘Praxis’ is the technical fest and there are also events like Utsav, Prarambh, and Sphurti.

    My overall experience at Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Technology is decent because I haven't faced any difficulty till now. The factors that made me choose this institute is the institute is in Mumbai, its accepts CET scores and the cutoffs are high and overall decent placements in 2022.     The overall college experience is good. The facilities provided in the college are also good. All PCs are in working condition and everything is perfect you can join this college by CET.     My first interaction with the college was when I went to the Facilitation Centre for my document verification. The first thing I noticed was there were proper facilities for students and the staff was calm and helping with all the issues and was understanding the problems of out-of-state/city students.
