Mohanlal Sukhadia University BCA Review By Rushal Sharma

Hello, I am Rushal Suthar, I live in Udaipur, last year I passed my 12th and was seeking colleges, I found out that Mohanlal Sukhadia University also offers Bachelor’s of Computer Applications, and is very convenient for me to have a college in my city itself. I filled out an application form for the college and then after sometime around a month, the lists were uploaded and I got the confirmation all together.

Academic curriculum of Mohanlal Sukhadia University is made exceptionally well, it includes what all the current days needs, the syllabus includes all the refreshed topics like artificial intelligence, and machine learning and data science basics which is amazing as it is very comparable if we do it by current day highly expensive private colleges. The eligibility is to clear 12th (higher secondary) from any respective board and from any respective stream weather it is science, commerce or even arts! The entry requires any aspiring student to fill out an application form of ₹200 and then at the time of counseling, the annual fee has to be deposited which is Rs. 29,500 and discount is given to the students from SC/ ST/ OBC.

The university has one of the worst faculty, all the teachers teaching are all "guest faculty" who are not very proficient in teaching the students, the permanent professors never really show up the faces, at least for now, I have not seen any of my professors till date, and also the teachers teaching are sometimes terrible in their own concepts of knowledge of their respective fields. A real life incident, my maths teacher taught us the wrong formula for 2 days unless I corrected her that it is wrong.

Infrastructure, on the other hand is relatively made very good, the classrooms are wide and have enough for the class of 60 students to sit comfortably, but for convenience, I would say to sit in front to have a good look of the board, cause teachers have terrible small and bad handwriting. The BCA department is not that big to face any issue in and also the university is well built of its own. The BCA department is fully equipped with the necessary safety and educational equipments like fire extinguishers, emergency evacuation ducts and fire alarms, in education, I-Macs are available and classes are fit with security cameras and digital boards for projection

Campus Life is bad. Really sorry to write but being honest, there is no campus Life in Mohanlal Sukhadia University, all week is so jam packed with the boring lectures that you get so exhausted to think of any new idea for any event, the people are also not very interested in organising any function, no freshers, no sports, no extracurricular, nothing. The hardest thing to do is to find a company of good students to study with or spend time with, but honestly. There, the crowd is very bad.
