K. Ramakrishnan College of Engineering provides a scholarship based upon the cutoff scored in the higher secondary. Also, Government scholarship is provided. The University has provided all necessary facilities to students as well as staff members (who stay on campus). It’s a Residential Campus with proper mess and hostel facilities for the students.

I have chosen the Computer Science and Engineering course. It was 4 year course. In each semester there was a presentation. Finally in the last year we got to do the Major project and publish a research paper as a journal. Chapters are covered by using the projector to make the students understand easily.

Our faculty members have completed their Masters’ Degree and are Ph. D holders. Faculties are friendly to the students. For each student they assign a mentor to discuss about the projects and academic performance. For placements also, they conduct a mock interview for students to increase the confidence level and reduce the interview fear.

K. Ramakrishnan College of Engineering has a placement cell. It was very helpful to acquire jobs for students through on-campus drives. In the 7th semester students can apply for placements. Many multinational companies like TCS, CTS, etc. come to the college and a maximum of 70% of students were placed. The highest salary package of our institution is 9 LPA and average salary package is 5 LPA and the minimum package is 2 LPA. Lots of companies like product based and service based companies visited our institution to hire the fresher’s.

Yes, we have residential facilities in our institution. Our Hostel rooms are clean and good. Our hostel food is not very good but fine. It feels very comfortable just like home in our hostel. The hostel provides a freedom to watch movies on weekend and enjoy a lot. Wi-Fi facilities are also provided in our hostel for study purposes.

The campus infrastructure is very good. It was very clean and green. Our campus is maintained by the NSS Club. There are two blocks in our campus maintained separately for Engineering and Technology. Wi-Fi facilities are also provided in our classrooms and labs.

Our College conducts cultural activities in all the departments. Also, Industrial Visits in Cochin, Bangalore and Ooty are conducted. In each department they conduct a department function like Workshop, Paper Presentation, and Games. They conduct Achievers day for the placed students for the encouragement. Clubs like Toastmaster, Eco, Technical Innovators, Consumer, and NSS are available and they conduct programs every weekend.
