IIT Madras is one of the top engineering colleges not only in India but worldwide. It is known for its unwavering commitment to academic excellence, latest research, and providing the best environment for students to grow in all aspects, making them ready for the society by providing great education from exceptional faculty, professors, and researchers who are expert in their respective fields. The method of teaching students at IIT madras is thoughtful; it is made sure that students learn from real life projects, internships, and industry collaborations. Along with academic excellence, IIT Madras is also known for its great campus and diverse community. The campus is covered from greenery making its students stay peaceful and people from around the world come here to study which makes it special because student gets to experience various communities' ideologies. I chose the campus because it is one of the best colleges in India which provides me growth in all aspects of my life.

IIT Madras offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. It provides B. Tech Dual degree, M. Tech, M. Sc, MBA, and Ph. D programs. I am currently pursing B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. Entrance to these courses varies but when it comes to B. Tech one has to clear both JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCE exam. Being a top college, just passing these exams won't be sufficient one has to score high marks in these exams to get admission.

IIT Madras is filled with excellent faculty who are known for their expertise and research papers. Most of the faculty members are involved in research which makes them special. Along with great curriculum and taught by one of the best faculty, students here are well trained. Every faculty has their unique way of teaching but everyone makes sure that knowledge provided is up to date and students have practical knowledge along with book knowledge.

Yes, the college has a placement cell. IIT Madras has strong network with companies and the placement cell makes utmost use of it. The students are well prepared for real time job and internships by the placement cell. Many national and international companies approach IIT Madras for recruitments.

The institute provide hostels for both men and women with the college based on program they are enrolled. Each hostel consists of various options such as single room, double room or dormitory-style which varies for program to program and year of study. Each hostel room is equipped with basic furniture and Wi-Fi facility. Each hostel has its own mess for meals and each hostel is looked after by wardens and security guards. Cleanliness is good and weekly maintained by the staff. Various events such as cultural, sports, and academic events are organised by hostels.

IIT Madras is spread over 600 acres of land. The campus consists of modern classes, well-equipped labs, research centers, libraries, sport facilities, hostels. Class rooms are accompanied by lecture halls and seminar rooms. Labs are equipped with advanced equipments for research and study. Library consists of various books, journals, research papers, and digital resources too. The campus consists of a stadium to conduct events. Sport facilities include indoor sports complex, swimming pool, ground, and various courts. IIT Madras has a Research Park serving as a hub for industry collaboration and technology transfer. The campus includes various amenities such as cafeterias, shops, banking services, medical facilities, post office, etc.

The overall life at IIT Madras is just fabulous. There is everything any student has ever dreamt. There are many clubs and organisations in the college run by students in various fields like sports club, cultural clubs, and entrepreneurship clubs are few of them. The institute organizes various fests and events throughout the year, SAARANG is the biggest cultural fest and SHASTRA is the biggest technical fest conducted by the campus. There is no deficiency in sports facilities. Every art and skill is encouraged at IIT Madras whether it is music, dance, drama or art every art has its club to encourage students. IIT Madras offers incubation facilities, mentorship programs, and entrepreneurship development initiatives.
