Institute of management research and technology (IMRT), is a Lucknow based Institution for higher Business studies. The college is affiliated with the Lucknow University which is a highly reputed university in Uttar Pradesh. IMRT holds a good name among the most reputed Business colleges in Lucknow.

There are 2 ways for taking admission into this college, one is through the common entrance exam held by the Lucknow University called the Lucknow University Associated Colleges Management Admission Test (LUACAMAT) and the other way to join is through direct admission at the college. The faculty and the overall staff of this college is very helpful and watchful.

I pursued for the B.Com (Hons) course. The course lasts for a total of 3 years that is divided into 6 semesters with each year having 2 Semesters. The eligibility to join this college requires you to be 10+2 passed. If you fulfill this requirement, then you can apply for admission either through the LUACAMAT, or directly through approaching the college. B.Com hons is an excellent course for all those who are aiming to do something in the field of Business in the coming future as it involves a deep study of Business and its components.

The subjects included in B.Com hons are very helpful to get a complete overview of Business Studies plus this course has a great scope for getting jobs in Marketing and Business executive positions.

IMRT comprises of a team of the best Faculty for all the courses offered. The staff and faculty of this college is highly helpful and their method of teaching is way good. Things are made to understand to the students with the help of practical examples which supplements the learning. The colleges consists some of the finest faculty pool of 10-12 teachers and professors.

The college even has a faculty from the IIM-Lucknow who conducts the Business Economic lectures. Their way of teaching makes them apart from the crowd. All the teachers and professors are the best in their fields of subjects they conduct.

In terms of Placements, IMRT holds a little low hand as their Placement Support is not very good. They claim to offer 90%+ placement support but in reality that doesn't happens at all and if at all it happens, then the level and quality of the placements are not very good. Yeah definitely, big companies like Paytm, Amazon, etc. do approach the college for Placement purposes, but the packages offered aren't much fruitful.

Highest Package offered last year was Rs. 6.00 lacs and the average package every year is around Rs. 3 to 4 lacs. Though they claim to get 90%+ placements, but in actual not more than 60% get a well-paying package.

In terms of Hostel facilities, IMRT is a good choice as they offer a good Hostel service to their students. There is a separate building for male and female students. Though the eating point is a common one, but their rooms are separate. But the food and mess is not much good but that's a problem with almost every college out there. Students rely more on the fast food joints nearby the college as the quality and taste of food offered is not up to the mark.

In terms of security for the hostellers, everything is up to date. There are 2 security guards and 1 hostel in charge who are there 24x7 for the students.

IMRT is located in the top-notch posh locality of Lucknow that is Gomti Nagar. The infrastructure of the college consists of two buildings and 1 management park where sports activities take place. The college is located close to the very popular Janeshawar Mishra Park. The classroom size is sufficient enough to accommodate up to 50 students per class. In addition to the classrooms, the college also has a big library which provides you almost all the necessary study material required. In addition to this, it also has 2 big auditoriums where cultural activities and events take place.

Apart from this, IMRT also offers you a Gym which is a plus point for this college. The Gym is quite good and has all the latest gym equipments. There are several eateries, medical stores, stationery shops, and other general shops within two kilometers radius from the college.

Overall, the campus life of the college is very exciting. Plus being a complete business college, most of the students in your class and seniors are of the same mindset and enjoy each other's company. There's a spirit of competition among the students to excel in the field of projects assigned to them especially if they're related to Business and finance.

The best thing about this college is that, apart from excelling in academics, it also improves the overall Personality of the students by offering challenging tasks and activities and also they conduct a cultural fest each year in which students from different Colleges take part in cultural, sports, etc. activities. In short, IMRT offers a good academic as well as co curricular experience and atmosphere to the students.
