IBS Hyderabad is one of the renowned colleges for Management education and is situated on the outskirts of the Hyderabad City in the state of Telangana. Part of IFHE, it has got accreditations from the National Accreditation Agency NAAC with an A grade. Not just that, the college has got a national level A** rating from CRISIL and national level - EB2+ rating from ICRA.

Admission process is through an entrance exam IBSAT which takes place mostly in the month of December. After getting shortlisted in the exam, candidates are called for a GD PI round to the Hyderabad campus mostly during the month of February. Throughout the admission process as well as during the course, the management is very cooperative and prompt in assisting students.

I joined MBA regular course and chose Finance as my major subject. Eligibility for the program is a graduation in any subject with above 50% in the degree in English medium. Along with that their own IBSAT (IBS Aptitude Test) score is counted, the entrance exam for getting an admission in the college. After viewing the ratings and getting positive feedback from few of my acquaintances, I shortlisted this college.

The entire course for both two years was quite comprehensive and covered every aspects of a business as required. This, combined with specialised knowledge in the subjects of Finance helped me to get through the placements processes. Regular tests and comprehensive assessments ensure continuous studies and help in overall preparation of the course.

There are over 50 faculty member, permanent and ad-hoc combined. There are equal number of members in the different courses such as Law, B-Tech, BBA. Well equipped with exceptional knowledge and industry experience, the faculty is one the most attracting factor to IBS Hyderabad.

Most of the faculties are qualified PhD with demonstrating academic leadership and years of research. Some of them are well known authors of some of the most often read books in their discipline. Professors are readily available in their cubicles within the campus for discussion and additional guidance required by students. They have mentoring abilities and are supportive towards each student.

IBS Hyderabad has well trained placement committee who takes extra efforts to invite companies for placements. They ensure each and every student gets the opportunity to apply and appear for the selection process. Also, they provide adequate guidance to the students so that they go through the entire procedure smoothly. JP Morgan, UBS, HDFC Bank, Wipro are some of the most promising companies which visit the campus in the few days of beginning of the placement process.

The average package goes up to Rs. 7.5 LPA (Lakhs per Annum) with the highest touching Rs. 16 LPA offered by DE Shaw in 2014-2016 batch. There are a few international placement offers given as well to students with the packages going up to Rs. 40 LPA (Lakhs per Annum). IBS Hyderabad offers 100 % placements with each student getting place by the end of the 2 year term at the campus.

Hostel in IBS Hyderabad is one of the most cherish place. Each MBA students gets an individual room with a balcony. Each hostel has its own gymnasium, a badminton court and a cafeteria catering to the midnight cravings of students.

Rarely found in hostels IBS houses its very own parlors and salons within the hostels to keep students' grooming needs in check. While few blocks have shared bathroom facilities, there are other blocks with private attached bathroom facility with the rooms as well.

Spread across 90 acres, the campus is fully equipped to take care of needs of all students with state of the art infrastructure. There are separate wings for different departments like MBA, BBA, Law etc. with different residential complex make a comfortable stay for students. While Computer labs, libraries, centrally air conditioned class rooms with visual aids as well as with Gymnasium, Recreation centre, Swimming Pool catering to all fitness needs of students at the same time.

Students have access to two dining rooms in the campus with separate cafeterias. Along with that each hostel has its own cafeteria. The campus has its own departmental store with all the basic products available at all times and a dispensary for immediate care if the situation arises.

I believe IBS Hyderabad campus is one of the most expansive campuses available in the country and of course is the best out of all the campuses across the country under the ICFAI group. Annual Alumni meet is the highlight of the November month in the college since pass outs, major event to connect and network for the existing students as well. The annual fest that takes place in the month of January is prepared for with full zest as the New Year begins. All the students participate with enthusiasm.

There are total thirty clubs in the college covering co-curricular and encouraging recreational activities ranging from music to finance. They organise regular events which students attend with full zeal enriching their knowledge and giving them an opportunity to learn virtues like team spirit, there are cultural communities also based on different regions of the country which celebrate all festivals with warmth and happiness.
