I pursued my Bachelor of Engineering in Bio-Medical Engineering from the year 2012-2016. LDCE is affiliated as a Government college under Gujarat Technological University which is affiliated with AICTE. The admission process for this college has to be done by ACPC. Being a Government college, the fees is very nominal and the history the college had, helps the student while they complete their study and step in to their professional life. LDCE is always known for their prime academic services. The merit required to get into this college is very high. Almost every student fills first choice as LDCE.

As I joined Bio-Medical Engineering in LDCE, it was only the 2nd college offering this course. The other college is also a government college in Gandhinagar. The subject and course were perfectly designed with the aspect of the practical field and current requirements in the field. The first year is considered to be very common for each branch which includes 11 subjects like chemistry, English, Engineering Drawing. Students are allotted 5 or 6 subjects in first semester and the rest in second semester. The 3rd semester includes 7 subjects followed by 4 subjects. Final year includes only 4 subjects which includes a project too.

The department of Bio-Medical engineering was equipped with quality staff during my study period. All the faculties were having a pool of knowledge and subject expertise. They were some newly recruited faculties during that time but still, the average year of experience in teaching was 5+ years among other faculties. There are currently 7 faculties in the department and the HoD is Dr. Kunal Bhoyaniya.

Yes. LDCE has its own placement cell for all engineering branches. It offers various training, internship as well as placement. While I was in my final year - I was offered an internship at a reputed hospital in Ahmedabad situated on SG Highway and after that, I got a job at another reputed private company with a healthy package. So, don’t you worry about the placement from LDCE. Even if you are not getting any placement from the college the name LDCE is good enough for the survival in the market.

The campus of LDCE is larger. There are buildings and blocks for all different branches. There is plenty of greenery and gardens on the campus. There is a facility of canteen and library on the campus. The campus is so widely spread that even you need an entire day to finish the visiting and orientation of the campus. There is separate block for even Mechanical Labs, Drawings Rooms, Auditorium hall etc. The campus library has vast number books about 5000+! It just needs an I-card to get access of it - Yes you can read as much as you want.

Though the structure is quite old. But the college has an immense reputation in the market. There is a club or portal kind of thing for LDCE Alumni. If you are really looking to learn extraordinary skills. LDCE is the name and place you can trust on.
