One of the Best Decisions to Join NIT Agartala

Overall Rating
The Institute is really above my expectations. I would say academic is overall good. It provides all the amenities that a student needs. We have good and maintained hostels, which it good place to spend 4 years.
Important Points of Institute i.e., NIT Agartala:
• Excellent academics with good exam frequency and experienced teachers.
• B.Tech admission are via JEE Main exam and JoSAA / CSAB counselling.
• 360+ Acre campus with number of facilities and active clubs.
 

Academics Rating
I am doing Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Institute. NIT Agartala offers admission through JEE Main score and ranks. After exams, students have to apply through the JoSAA or CSAB counselling for seat in this course. Academics are good here. 2 exams are held in each semester (one mid semester and end semester).
For B.Tech, fee of my course is approximately Rs. 60,000/- for every semester. For hostel & mess, the fee is Rs. 24,000/- per semester. So total fee would be around Rs. 6,72,000/-.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties here are really good and have good knowledge of the subjects, some faculties are way very educated and have post doc from foreign universities. The academics here is not so tensed also, its good and we dont have much pressure whole semester so we can do other stuff too. I would say academic is overall good. Some professors also come in top 2% of the world scientist around the academics
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus area of National Institute of Technology Agartala is 360+ acres. In addition, the sports facilities are top-notch. The central library is a great with huge collection of books. However, the location of the NIT Agartala is isolated, making travel a hassle. It is a beautiful place to study, but I expect a few infrastructure upgrades in future. It’s good to spend 4 years here.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life here is good. The annual fests, Aayam and Moksha, are amazing where everyone forgets the academic stress. Clubs are super active & you will easily find your crowd for Photography, Coding, Music, or any other activities. Night walks around the scenic campus are the best part. However, outside gates, there is barely any nightlife because of its remote location.

    The exposure of the Institute is quite appreciable. It has various clubs for the upliftment of the student. Since it is a Institute of national importance so students come from almost every corner of the country and one gets an opportunity to learn something from every culture of India.     NIT-A is one of the top NITs in North-East India. It is situated in Agartala, which is the capital of Tripura state. I have joined it in 2024 through JoSAA. Until now, my experience with this institute is great. Apart from studies, you get a good exposure of clubs, sports and of course the beauty of nature.
