My Point of View on NIT Agartala

Overall Rating
The overall experience is good. I learned a lot of thing here and there are a lot of thing to do here. The people are good and some people are doing amazing things in their life. The atmosphere of this Institute is kind of humid. The campus is surrounded with lush greenery so it is actually a good Institute.
 

Academics Rating
I am in Electrical Engineering department and in this department attendance is not a big issue. The cut-off to get admission in this branch is around 96 percentile in JEE Main. The admission process is quite simple you have to bring the documents for verification that’s it. The exams are conducted twice in a semester.
The fee structure of NIT Agartala depends on the category you belong and your family income. If your family income is less than Rs. 1,00,000/- then you don’t have to pay the tuition fee. For discount, you will need an income certificate.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of this Institute is average. The teachers have good knowledge in their respective filed but only some of the teachers have teaching skills. Most of the teachers teach so well that students understand each and every topic easily. The faculty is kond of old minded. Overall, you have to study on your own.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, NIT Agartala has placement cell. In recent years, the placement stats have been improved a lot so it’s a good thing. Average package offered is around 15 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the Institute provides separate hostel facilities to the girls and the boys students. You have to pay hostel deposit of Rs. 5000/- and the hostel and mess fee is around Rs. 25,000/- per semester. There are 2 hostels named Aryabhatt and RNT.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The Infrastructure is good and the campus is 365 acres. A new academic block got opened for first year students. All departmental buildings are good. The building has good ventilation. The classrooms are quite large. The campus also has library with all kinds of books. In campus a lot of shops are there. The facilities available at the campus are good.
 

Campus Rating
In NIT Agartala, the campus life is average but students have various fun things to do. The crowd is good and students participate in various activities and hackathons. The Institute organise various cultural activities throughout the year which is the most excited thing.

    The exposure of the Institute is quite appreciable. It has various clubs for the upliftment of the student.     Overall Rating
    NIT-A is one of the top NITs in North-East India. It is situated in Agartala, which is the capital of Tripura state. I have joined it in 2024 through JoSAA. Until now, my experience with this institute is great. Apart from studies, you get a good exposure of clubs, sports and of course the beauty of nature.
