My opinion about Silicon

Overall Rating
It's actually good in the academics but the campus is too small. The hostel is equipped with CCTV cameras, the foods served in the dinner is good. Placement is quite weak this year because of the recession. Too much focus on classes and less focus on skills. Less crowded and good canteen, playground is fine and smooth yet there are limits on what you should play and what you shouldn't.
 

Academics Rating
Well, proper classes yet I think some of the teachers are not good in imparting the basic engineering education in a precised and extra-ordinary way. They are skilled though, but the way of teaching should be improved through practical analysis and proper coordination with the students. You can take admission here after passing out 12th grade.
 

Faculty Rating
My faculty is good but most of the faculties here are rude and arrogant. Most of them think that "they are all in all" and thus fail to understand the real weaknesses of the students. They should be more cooperative and inculcate some basic ideas to the students, the innovative ideas. But my faculty was fine.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, I have a Placement Cell, but they are so ordinary this year and are not able to call the companies in for campus placement. Things are really getting stressed here.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, hostel's small but good. I think they also serve some nice dinner except for Monday and Saturday. Room is good and well lighted. You have been provided with table and chair for studying.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is small in size; you can literally walk it off all in 5 mins. It's crowded in the working time. I think the structure of campus would be improved. It has a nice basketball playground which is small in size; it has a cricket playground in the backyard of the hostel. Two big offices for college officials and a cell for placement.
 

Campus Rating
Life's cool here, you will get some cool friends. There are so many clubs for different streams like music, games, plays etc. Fests are barely organised unlike big colleges though few fests could experience in 4 years career. Music clubs are fine you can literally jam in with alike wise people. You can also with seniors for better understanding of the courses.

    Students are taking admission in silicon in MCA course in the basis of OJEE rank. The rank must be under 600 and I got selected on the basis of that. The average package in this college is about 5-6 lakh so many students want to take admission on that. And this college is one of the best institutes in Odisha.... Read Full Review

    I took admission on the basis of Odisha JEE rank here and the cutoff rank is below 600 and around 60-70 seats are there. The students are studying here are also clear CAT exam most of the times.     The college is placed near the cyber hub of Bhubaneswar with a very good transport facility. The college atmosphere is very good and best for self-study and the academic is one of the best in the city.
