Central University of Haryana, located in the village name jant-pali, 10 km from the main Mahendragarh city was established by "The Central university Act, 2009" an act of parliament. It is a UGC affiliated university. Current vice chancellor is R.C Kuhad.

To get admission in the university, one must qualify CUCET and apply for the central universities in which they want admission into. Instead of cut-off, merit list are generated according to the field of students. Each category of department has a separate merit list and seats are filled accordingly. Each process is done in online mode. If somehow the seats are still vacant, open counseling are held. Fee structures are very decent and affordable. The maximum fees structure is for B.Tech i.e., Rs 65,130 per year. The overall management is moderate. Scholarships are provided for those whose financial condition is weak, it depends on guardians annual income, less than Rs. 2.5 lacs is the criteria, toppers can grab it too. Although, Scholarships are not highlighted much in the university.

The standard of course and course syllabus are as per national level exams. It almost covers the basic required to crack any field of examination (varies form programme to programme), therefore making it easy to get a job. Faculties are co-operative in providing the right information a student need to grasp. The UG courses are behind PG courses as it was established recently, around 2016, which also conveys the reason why UG courses are less in number. Engineering, bio-medical science and management are part of the courses. Doctorate courses are available too, but it is way to behind the time.

When it comes to library, both traditional and modern libraries are built to meet the need of students. Enough resources and books are provided, still filling the space with books and resources. Per student can issue four book maximum at a time (no separate library card is used, id card does it all).The process of issuing book is pretty easy, fine is taken after 15 days if the books are not submitted.

Overall the faculties are well reputed PhD scholars. Number of faculties is enough for the course, although there is lack of staffs. Some faculties are rookie in teaching but they have a high profile. Academic qualifications of faculties are of standard. My all faculties are PhD scholars. Permanent faculties recruitment are still in process.

Placement cell is new, therefore chances of getting placement is somewhat low. Upcoming year is going to be crucial for both universities and students as competition is increasing. A specialised training is not provided by the college. Reputed Companies do visit the campus due to the profile of university. But placements are not strength of the university.

It has two hostels for girls and two for boys and hostel fee is Rs. 7,100 per year. There is a scarcity in hostel seats, especially for boys (they go for pg rooms which is around the campus, if not then in the city). New hostels are in the process of construction. An open badminton court is provided in every hostel. Hostel mess are quiet hygienic and food is of moderate quality according to the fees.

Separate charges are taken by the mess, these are not included in the university fees structure, and therefore it varies year to year. Hostels and their washrooms are well-maintained and are cleaned on daily basis. Geysers are provided in winter but for summer there are no facilities in hostel room. Use of electrical equipment inside the room is illegal; coolers are exception and can be purchased by the students (extra electrical charges are taken).

The campus consists of two gates, one is near the administration department, and another one is near the hostels. The infrastructures are of top class, neat and clean, environment was taken into consideration while constructing. Not to mention, each room is air-conditioned. Although labs lack some equipments and staffs, faculties make sure that students don't feel the lack. The behavior of faculties can vary from department to department but overall they have a friendly and co-operating nature. The campus resides on a rural area which totally signifies that it is cover with greenery and nature.

The landscapes are worth to watch. 24×7 wi-fi facilities are given to students. The campus has provided students basic facilities from gym to canteen, stationary to ration. Small restaurants are located near the campus, one can eat daily meals from there. Bus facilities are cut down to contribute their part for a healthy environment in campus, instead cycle are used by students. On Saturday and Sunday buses are made available for the students who want to shop in main market of the city. Campus life is better than rest of the college as enough freedom is allowed to students. Health care facilities are moderate, ambulance are available 24×7. The environment of campus is friendly and completely free from ragging. If so happens, strict actions are taken against raggers.

My overall experience till now is very good. Didn't face problem regarding anything. I took admission as the university has a government profile and it is indeed far better than many of the other private colleges or state government colleges. The best part is the natural environment of the campus with all the basic facilities. Not only the faculties are friendly, but the students from different backgrounds and cultures are too. The whole university lives as a giant family. Parks and gardens are located everywhere to relax a little. Residents for faculties are also constructed in the campus due to which every event is not only shared with professors too. Such a great place to click pictures and make memories! The weather is just like every northern cities one. Both extreme hot weather and cold weather can be faced.

You might get a lot of poor feedback regarding the university, but trust me it is booming everyday and it will be fully developed in less than a decade (being a government college). Students are going to face a level up competition each year passing and it will not be easy to get admission in the university as it is now. Overall, it is a great university to build your profile for career. Every year college fest (spandan) is organised. Students participate to showcase different cultures of India. Competition is too held between different universities. Moreover, small fests are also organised for students to seek every opportunities.

Sports cells are provided to make sure students are keeping their physical health in balance. Students are also selected for state level and national levels sport competition.
And not only sports and cultural fest, DJ nights are held every year for the students making their college life memorable. Student can also become a part of NSS group. Gatherings and activities are maintained by them. Being a part of NSS group one can visit different universities and cities. Enough opportunities are given to the students on behalf of group. If you love taking part in extra-curricular activities then joining NSS would definitely going to be a boon for you. Dance, acting, music societies are organised specially by students from scratch.
