I joined PCCE in 2020 in Information Technology Department. Currently I'm in Final year. So I'll be sharing my journey throughout. There is a canteen, good library, well maintained classes, a good Placement center too. There are 5 engineering colleges in Goa and this college PCCE is the best according to me.

The college offers 5 courses. Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication (ETC), Mechanical and the only college in Goa which offers the course Electronics and Computers. As we know we need to answer GCET exam to get a seat in the college. My rank was 429/2700 students, and I got an easy seat. So, if you're rank is under 700 too you will easily get a seat in the college for your desired course.

The faculties’ i.e., the teachers in PCCE are well aware of industry and teach with their full potential. But there are some teachers who don’t show much interest as well. This is a concern in every engineering college as well. Although the teachers are only good in teaching theory subjects. What lacks is majority of the CS background teachers doesn't know coding as well. Mechanical and ETC teachers are well versed though IT teachers lacks in coding skills.

Now coming to the main point about placement. As usual many tech companies come in the college frequently during the final year. But Mechanical and Electronics placement is far less than CS and IT Departments. Highest packages are offered by One shield and Visteon of 10LPA. Rest all lies between the ranges of 3LPA-8LPA. Top companies are one shield, IVP, TCS, Visteon. The placement cell makes sure that all of the students are placed in the CS or IT Department. However, the mechanical and ETC department lacks in such.

There aren’t any hostel facilities provided by the college. However opposite of the college there is Ashram Institute wherein there are many PG. Students can stay there. Many of my classmates who come from far stays in the PG during exam days.

The facilities and infrastructure provided are quite good from canteen, cremeux (pastry), library, clean Computer Labs and the locality is quite good too with a highway outside. Wi-Fi is available on all labs and the computers are modern with 8GB RAM, Windows 11. There are 3 floors and a good tech lift available too.

There are many events too organised by the college in which the students can participate and get a good exposure as well. Starting with the freshers’ party for the first-year people. There is a sports event, cultural event and a technical event too conducted every alternate semester. Many technical related and mechanical clubs are also open which organises workshops and events for students to participate and get aware of the industry trends.
