A sight at KDK college

Overall Rating
My overall experience at KDK college was good but not actually as I expected. I got a good campus life, sports and fests were the things that I enjoyed a lot. But talking about the academic and placements, they disappointed me a lot. The lectures were undisciplined and inconsistent most of the time. But the other activities and college life were exciting.
 

Academics Rating
I got admission in the college through my score in MHT CET exam. You need to have above 70% in exam then I guess you can easily get admission in this course. Also, you need to pass 12th obviously. Some students also admission through management quota. Reserved seats are also present for students of reserved categories like, OBC, SC, ST, etc.
 

Faculty Rating
As per my experience till now, I got some good teachers who are very good in teaching and also very helpful and supportive but also there are other kind of teachers as well whom you might find annoying as I do. However, there is no doubt that they are all highly qualified in their fields and have very good experience in teaching profession as well. But the teaching style is mostly theoretical sticking to syllabus.
 

Placement Rating
The biggest flaw of the college is that it does not provide any kind of placement opportunities or guidance to students. We have to find job our own which is a little tough nowadays. Hence many students go for higher studies or remain jobless.
 

Hostel Rating
College hostel is just 100 m away from campus. There is separate hostel for girls and boys. However, there are limited seats in hostel and many restrictions, so students prefer PGs.
 

Infrastructure Rating
When I entered the college, I was amazed by the great infrastructure and buildings of the college. It has a big sports ground to play any outdoor game. A spacious parking lot and a canteen on the front side of college. There is one branch in each building, some share two as well. Each building is equipped with IT labs, library and workshops in Civil and Mechanical building. Library is well stocked, and workshop contains all necessary equipment.
 

Campus Rating
The best reason to get admission in this college is its campus life, crowd, fests and sports activities. Navonmesh is the annual fest of the college and is so grand that some newspaper even printed article on it. Also, branch wise fests are there. MESA is the event for our mechanical branch. College also arranges many indoor and outdoor sports competitions for inter branches and inter colleges.

    KDK Nagpur is famous among students who want to do BE in mechanical or civil engineering. I decided to take KDK Nagpur because I did not score that well to get into a government-funded institute like NITs or even IITs, but I was adamant about engineering. You can quickly get admission here with +50% marks in HSC (lower than the standard 75%) and an average score in JEE mains.
