Sri Krishna College of Engineering & Technology, was established in 1998. It is affiliated to Anna University. The college is an autonomous institution and is approved by AICTE, and its various programs have been accredited with NBA. The college offers an exclusive program in B.Tech (Computer Science & Business System). SKCET has a collaboration with various leading institutions which ultimately helps in its overall growth.

SKCET provides an elaborated course structure, which includes, BE in Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Design, Cyber Security, Electronic Engineering, Communication engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. apart from these B.Tech programs in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science & Business System are also provided. PG courses such as M.Tech, ME as well as Ph.D courses are also provided by the college.
Admissions in Sri Krishna College of Engineering & Technology, is completely based upon the merit list prepared by DOTE, an authority of TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission), on account of applications received from the interested candidates. Before registration, the candidates have to fulfill the eligibility criteria, that is, 45% marks in PCM as well as vocational subjects. (40% for SC/ ST/ BC/ MBC/ DNC)

SKCET provides various State as well as College Scholarship Schemes to the students, based upon the personal needs as well as on the marks achieved by the students. “Management Fee Waiver Scholarships'' are provided to the students who are merit holders and are in dire need of financial assistance, for continuation of their higher studies. “Covid Scholarships” are provided to the students, who lost a family member on whom they were financially dependent. Apart from these college scholarships also include “Free Education” to the wards of faculty members. Students get the benefit of state scholarships as well, which are provided by the respective state to the SC/ BC candidates.
