GITAM University Bangalore Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

GITAM University Bangalore offers residential facilities to the outstation students in order to provide a safe and comfortable stay. The hostels of the Demeed University are located within different blocks namely, ‘South Block’, ‘Vinay Sadan’, ‘Kokila Sadan’, and many others.

At Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, there are around 5 hostels, out of which 4 (2 for boys’ and 2 for girls’) are located within the campus. One of the remaining hostels is for boys’ which is situated outside the campus. Moreover, the rooms at GITAM University Bangalore hostels are allotted to the students on a sharing basis with AC & Non-AC options.

The GITAM University authority has implemented various rules and regulations to provide a safe and comfortable environment to the students at the hostels. In addition, it is mandatory for the students to adhere to the rules and in case of any violation, serious action will be taken against them.

Some of the rules of the University’s hostels are listed below:

• Hostellers are strictly prohibited to leave the hostel or campus premises between 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• Any type of physical, verbal, and psychological ragging is strictly prohibited within the premises.
• Hostellers cannot change their allotted rooms without having prior permission from the designated authority.
• Students residing in the hostels are not allowed to keep any illegal or objectionable item with them.
• Gambling, consumption of alcohol, smoking, and other such activities are banned at the hostel.
• Students are not allowed to make any sort of damage to the hostel property.
• If any hosteller is staying outside the hostel for overnight then they have to take a written permission from the authorities at least 2 days preceding the event.

Separate accommodations for boys’ and girls’ are available within the GITAM University Bangalore Campus. Around 2 hostels are present for female students, out of which one is ‘Kokila Sadan’. This Sadan can accommodate around 2 to 4 students in each room with AC & Non-AC room options.

In addition, for male students, 3 hostels are there (2 are on-campus and 1 is off-campus). ‘Vinay Sadan’ is one of the boy’s hostels which is present inside the University’s premises. All the rooms at the hostels have adequate amenities to make the stay of the students comfortable.

Apart from this, various facilities like safe drinking water, 24x7 security, uninterrupted power supply, etc. are provided to the students to ensure that they get a home-like environment.

Moreover, qualified doctors are present to provide immediate medical assistance to the students residing in hostels. Furthermore, hostellers can enjoy several facilities available within the University’s campus such as Badminton Court, indoor gym, TV room, etc.

Both boys’ and girls’ hostels provide an eco-friendly environment to the hostellers offering a peaceful ambience. In addition, resident wardens are present in hostels to address the problems of the students.

Indian and Asian cuisines are served within the ‘South Block’, ‘Kokila Sadan’, and ‘North Block’. Moreover, Indian, Asian, and Western cuisines are provided to the hostellers at ‘Vinay Sadan’ (boys hostel).

In addition, there are certain rules and regulations of the dining area of the GITAM University Bangalore hostels that students must follow; few of these are stated below:

• It is mandatory for the hostellers to have their meals within the designated dining halls.
• Any hosteller is not permitted to carry the outside food within the dining halls.
• The operating dining timings will not be extended for any student.
• It is strictly forbidden for the students to take their hostel food or utensils outside the dining area.
