After clearing WBJEE, I got Electronics and Communication Engineering at Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College. Additionally you must pass the 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as compulsory subject. The admission process of this institute is simple. You have to go through the counseling process, then the college is allotted based on your rank, and then physical verification is done at institute level. There are semester exams and internal exams respectively carrying 70% and 15% weightage and the rest is in the hand of professor depending upon your attendance and projects or assignments. The total fees for 4 years B.Tech course except hostel and mess vary from 40,000/- to 1, 20,000/- depending on your department. First of all, JGEC (Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College) is an autonomous engineering college located in West Bengal. Now I'll talk about all courses of JGEC. There are six departments available in B.Tech course: Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Entry process is simple when you crack West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam and achieve a good rank; eligibility is 12th science (PCM).

Academics is good here; teachers are supportive they will solve your doubt. To get this college and this department you have to give WEBJEE after class 12 and get a rank around 3000 for general. There are 6 departments in this college. Almost 100% student get placed is IT and CSE and around 80% in another department. You can go for this college.
