The hostel facilities are good but there is room of improvement in hostel conditions. The hostel facilities provided is Wi-Fi connection, all time electricity and availability of drinking water. Yes, institute offers residential facilities. For first year, 3 seater rooms are available. Girl’s and boy’s hostels are separate. Mess food is good, hygienic, and fresh. breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner are provided to the hostlers. Ragging is completely restricted here and hostel timings for first year students 5 AM to 10 PM. Numerous hostels are present. The institute houses 8,000 students and thus offers a huge hostel complex for students to reside in. There's multiple options like 4-sharing, 3-Sharing, 2-Sharing and single rooms available too. The residential complex for the girls has a separate demarcated zone of itself, which is quite vast too. There's common rooms present in all hostels (total hostels are more than 20). The mess food is decent. There's a total of 8 messes available for boys on campus to choose from, and 3 for the girls to choose from, catering to the different cuisines present in India. From north to south, all kinds of people can be found here. There's a curfew present for women in all of the years they study at this institute. There also exists a curfew for freshers, but it drops out for guys once they enter their second year. My hostel experience has been great as I've found amazing friends for life here. The infrastructure of some of the older hostels can be improved, specially pushing for more western washrooms, but apart from that it's all pretty great.Read Full Review
