NIT Trichy: Leader in Education & Placements

Overall Rating
My time in the campus is one of the most crucial in my life. NIT Trichy is number1 NIT among all the NITs in India, which is why I chose it. There are many students in institute because in NIT Trichy has various courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Sc plus B.Ed (integrated), M.Sc, MBA, PhD, etc. It has biggest campus (800 acres) and largest & oldest alumni network. It has good network with industries and companies to get placement easily. I found new cultural along with people of varied backgrounds.
 

Academics Rating
I am passionate about learning engineering concepts in details, so I chose it. To get admission, you have to pass JEE Main exam with good percentile 96 percentile or above. Admission process is through JoSAA counseling (online). The exam frequency depends on semester but generally 2 times cycle test and one end sem exam. The course prepares students both mentally and educationally for real world problems.
Tuition fee is Rs. 62,500 per semester, institution fee is Rs. 35,000 per year, and hostel & mess fee is Rs. 99,000 per year. SC and ST students get full tuition fee waiver along with the students whose family income is less that 1 LPA got full tuition fee waiver. There are various scholarships such as NSP, ONGC, private scholarships, etc.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculties are highly qualified and experienced. They are from different backgrounds, some Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, etc. The faculties teach us on green board, PPTs, and group discussion also. The teacher to student ratio is quite impressive. My experience and bonding is excellent. Students can ask any doubts in classroom and also in their respective departments or through online group discussion.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, here placement cell is available. It helps students to prepare for interviews to make their communication skills better. There is placement club also. Companies visit like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Reliance, Tata, Asoka Leyland, BHEL, BEML, Anand group, and many more. Highest package is 52.4 LPA and average package is 27.5 LPA for CSE.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, institute offers residential facilities. For first year, 3 seater rooms are available. Girl’s and boy’s hostels are separate. Mess food is good, hygienic, and fresh. breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner are provided to the hostlers. Ragging is completely restricted here and hostel timings for first year students 5 AM to 10 PM. My personal experience is pretty good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are separate departments for each branch course. Infrastructure and design of lectures halls is excellent. Classrooms are ventilated. The campus size is 800 acres. Academic facilities like Central library, computer labs, seminar hall, auditorium, conference hall, etc. are provided to the students of NIT Trichy. Additional facilities include canteens, sports ground, hospital, taxi, cab service, post office, SBI Bank, and security at every hostel, building, and main gate. My favorite places are the hang out spots such as stones branch, MIG, Café Coffee Day, 2K market, etc.
 

Campus Rating
The overall my campus life is quite good. There are many clubs such as sigma, delta, spider, etc. Institute also organizes many extracurricular activities like Festember, sports fete, cultural fest, and many others. Pragyan and Aaveg are most famous technical fests in NIT Trichy. My experience is quite impressive here.

    When I entered the campus for the first time first thing I noticed was the huge campus area and greenery all over with cleanness.     NIT Tiruchirappalli is a place like none other. Where does one even begin describing this place, it is a campus so vast that it would take your entire course span to even attempt exploring the entirety of it. The quality of students that study here are best, your peers will motivate you not just on the academic frontier, but also in all of the other walks of life.     NIT Trichy did not just help me grow professionally but it also helped me grow phenomenally as a person. I interacted with many people despite being an introvert.
