NIT Trichy's Campus Life: Clubs, Sports, and More

When I entered the campus for the first time first thing I noticed was the huge campus area and greenery all over with cleanness. The reasons why I choose National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli was its great academics, social life, location, and great placement result which were better than all NITs and some IITs as well. The hostel facilities I feel is better than other institutes (government). The professors of National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli is highly qualified and ready to support students all the time.

The academic is well planned and structured by professors. I choose Civil Engineering because it is the evergreen branch and it is the backbone of all other branch directly or indirectly. In this branch can also apply for some government services as well in future. The admission process is through JEE MAINS exams via JOSAA counseling. The closing rank of National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli general category was around 30-40 thousand ranks in JEE MAINS. The academic well prepares the student to industry use and future problems.

The fees structure of B.Tech program of National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli was: Tuition fees: Rs, 62,500 per semester. Admission fees one time is around Rs. 35,000. The hostel and mess fees are around Rs. 50,000. These all is for general category. SC and ST student tuition fees are remitted for all year.

The faculty teaching in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli is highly qualified and skilled teachers. They had done Ph.D from IITs. The teaching style of them is very interactive and full of fun. Their teaching method includes ppts and blackboard. Due to very good teacher Student ratio of National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli the teacher are available in working time to resolve the doubts of students. Students can approach them online as well as offline by reaching their department.

The infrastructure of classroom like Orion, logos is well designed and has proper ventilation. The campus is around 800 acres big in Tiruchirappalli district of Tamil Nadu. The classroom can accommodate around 100 students but there are about 50 students present at one time in class. My favorite part of institute is Octagon (computer lab). Sport facilities are one of the best in this campus with all the sports available and coaches as well.

The institute life is chill and full of fun. There are many temples here on and off campus to visit. There are many clubs like orientation club, dance and music troops, sports contingent teams, spider, and delta clubs. There are social clubs as well like NCC and NSS. I am part of NSS club and football contingent team. The fests organized are Fest ember, NIT-T Fest, Pragyan, Probe, etc.
