The infrastructure of Poona College of Pharmacy is located in the Erandawane campus of Bharati Vidyapeeth, which lies in Pune’s downtown. The Erandawane campus also houses the Arts, Commerce, and Science Colleges, and some other Bharati Vidyapeeth institutions. Students make the most of community life on the campus, thanks to the availability of advanced academic and recreational facilities.
Considered as an authentic storehouse of knowledge, the library stocks thousands of textbooks and reference books, international and national journals, including pharmacopeias, and chemical abstracts.
Students and faculty members make good use of online resources and databases like Micro-medex, N-list, and J-Gate. The library contains a total of 21,743 books, 13 journals, 7636 e-journals, 76,909 e-books, and 3 web-based databases. The college has a full-scale computer lab equipped with broadband connectivity.
Students carry out literature surveys pertaining to their dissertations and theses in the computer laboratory. Research laboratories form an integral part of any pharmacy college and PCP houses laboratories for the myriad branches of pharmacy. Each and every branch of pharmacy including pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, and drug regulatory affairs has its own laboratory.
There are also distinct laboratories for quality assurance, microbiology, industrial pharmacy, computer education, computer-aided design, and the like. Every laboratory contains state-of-the-art equipment for conducting pioneering research in pharmaceutical sciences. The college publishes Pharmawiz magazines that contain detailed reports about the latest strides made in the field of pharmacy.
PCP has also developed a portal that goes by the name of Vidya Lakshmi that furnishes information about the educational loan.
