MITSOM College Reviews on Placement, Faculty, Hostel by Students

MITSOM is an autonomous college and therefore the pattern of the curriculum is great. The University’s campus, classrooms, labs, and for that matter entire infrastructure is well-maintained. The University is located in Kothrud which is one of the most developed areas of Pune. The college has a pattern and is serious when it comes to academics. There are other opportunities as well for the students but not at the cost of studies. For BBA (IT) the options are less but MITSOM is a better option because the syllabus is updated regularly and is relevant to the market scenario. MITSOM is outstanding than various other colleges of Pune who offers BBA. The faculty were a major drawback as some of them literally threatened us if we don’t listen to them. MITSOM will also open various other doors but the college has some major cons as well. The placement figures that you will see in newspaper ads are completely misleading. The management has a lot corrupt people sitting at the top position. The entrance is not the only parameter to get admissions at MITSOM, your parent’s bank balance can also help you be a part of MITSOM.Read Full Review

The rules and regulations at MITSOM are stricter than schools. You aren’t allowed to wear red or black and that’s a condition that left half my wardrobe worthless. Never mind but then we were made to sit at the guest lectures compulsorily, if we somehow failed we were threatened that for next one week our attendance won’t be market or will get less in internals. One thing that made me love with the institute is its sprawling campus. As they say never book a judge by its cover, MITSOM has one building for BBA, BCA, MBA, and MCA. Many a times it happened that labs or classes became unavailable due to this. My name was mostly up there in the defaulters list and had to face the ramification of it. I thought I will get away as I volunteered for various events by working hard in the sun and obviously free of cost. I am not in favor of students defaulting but during the lecture if you yourself have engaged us in activities how can one mark student absent then?Read Full Review
