University of Madras Chennai Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

University of Madras has 4 campuses for different fields of subjects. I am in ‘Chepauk’ campus where the infrastructure is ultimately perfect with good view of Senate, Clock Tower and with all the basic facilities inside it. We have a perfect seating garden, canteen, Xerox shop, bank with ATM, a great main library and an all time security at our campus. There is an overseen parking area facility also. We have separate units for NSS and RRC. My favourite place would be the Senate building.

My university days are almost ending, and I had a great time with lots of learning. University is always fun with lots of people rushing for something which makes us feel engaged. We do have celebrations like Pongal, Onam and Holi. Departmental functions like Freshers, Farewell, Special Endowment Lectures, Training Programs, etc. keep happening. I am a member of NSS, with that I have attended many camps, skill development, self-defense programs and training programs which were a value added course to my academics. Fee structure is also feasible. Totally great days in University which I am going to miss soon.Read Full Review

Madras University’s infrastructure is very good. Classrooms are big and well-maintained. Labs have modern equipment. Library is huge with many books. Cafeteria provides tasty and healthy food. Overall environment is so good. Trees and plants are everywhere in the way. There are auditorium and hall for events. Overall, infrastructure supports studies and activities.

I had an incredible time at Madras University. The campus life was vibrant and diverse, with endless opportunities to explore. The faculty was supportive and knowledgeable, helping me grow both academically and personally. Overall, Madras University provided me with a well -rounded education and unforgettable memories. Infrastructure of both University and hostel are perfect. The Chepauk and Marina campus are at the heart of the Chennai City and are well equipped. Also we have library in Chepauk campus and an individual library in every department. A big well designed playground is also present at Chetpet campus.

As mentioned above we have NSS, NCC and many more clubs for active participation of the student in each and every activity of the university. My department has “ENVIREEN" Club, as the name focuses on green environment in and out the campus. We have worked in many projects to keep the campus green, also installed many trash cans in and out the campus to keep the city clean. Many more students’ club works for various purposes. Every day there will some symposium and seminars happening in the campus for various departments. Also we have two major fests; one is Keralotsavam - to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Onam and Neidhal - to celebrate the harvesting festival of Pongal.Read Full Review
