MICA - The School of Ideas Ahmedabad Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

Thanks to the greenery inside the campus and the building shapes too should be complimented that restricted sunlight in the common areas. I didn't know Ahmedabad is as hot as Rajasthan in summers and the months of April, May and June which we spent at the campus could have killed us if the campus didn't have that kind of greenery. The admin block was amazing, and the lecture halls, which had many common lectures among the students of various specializations, were better than any that I have seen. For competitions and events, I have been to IIM Ahmedabad and the lecture halls of MICA are better than them.

Life was frenzied at MICA as our workload was such that managing that in the nick of time took a lot out of me. To make sure I don't have to attend many classes, I ensured my entry in various off-campus projects. We used to have annual sports and cultural competitions and those who were left behind in their assignments were barred from participating. The Institute is a bit old and there are no large towers like many Colleges have these days. All the buildings at the campus were 2-storied buildings and were divided in a way that junior and senior interaction was done in all breaks. It took a bit of courage, as even though the entire campus had enough greenery, it's scorching hot in Ahmedabad in most months. The playground was good, but was occupied by the boys. For girls, the badminton court was an area where we denied entry to the boys. I hardly used the canteen, as the mess provided meals timely and didn't see a reason for having stuff from the canteen.

The management festival 'Micanvas' was the only fest on the campus as otherwise, the workshops and guest lectures were the only events that happened on the campus. We all used to have a lot of fun at campus in our capacity. The Institute didn't arrange many events that B-Schools in general do.Read Full Review

The Infrastructure is 10 on 10, no not because of ACs which were not there, but every single thing other than that has made the campus look like a paradise. Libraries were efficient and the whole campus was connected with the internet. The computer lab was equipped with all the required software. The playground, which looked like hanging in the lap of nature, was the best part of the campus.

At the MICA campus, every other student had diverse inclinations and came from diverse backgrounds. The men and women ratio was almost equal and every program like singing, dancing, or playing a skit, was done in tandem. MICA to me was an exploratory journey which brought many new things to my life. Every day I woke up I knew I was up for something new and that part never let me miss home too.Read Full Review
