    Admission Process and Fees for B.Sc (Hons.) from Presidency University Kolkata
    I am currently enrolled in B.Sc (Statistics Honors), a 4 years course. For getting admission here, you have to qualify PUBDET examination currently conducted by WBJEE, once in a year. For which application form starts from January and exam take place more or less in May. Currently, we have 29 seats for my course. After entering the department, it will be a whole new world for you. You don't need to attend any other tuition beside university. Extra projects or reading course can also be done in guidance of our professors.
    The university literally charges bare minimum academic fee of Rs. 1,200 per semester for my course. Though it’s a bit more at the admission time; you need to pay Rs. 5,000, which also includes 1st semester fees.Read Full Review

    My Thoughts on Presidency University, Kolkata
    The course is highly subject centric. Overall, one would develop an excellent in-depth understanding of the subject. The university conducts PUBDET (Presidency University Bachelor's Degree Entrance Test) every year whose forms are generally released in March, and the exam is conducted in the month of July. The minimum eligibility in this exam is to achieve at least 70% aggregates (Maths/Statistics in the best 4 subjects) and at least 80% in Maths or Statistics. The syllabus for PUBDET is the standard NCERT syllabus of 10+2 of PCM stream.

    Admission in Presidency University Kolkata through PUBDET
    I am pursuing B.Sc (Hons.) in Statistics. This course was started here by the legendary Professor PC Mahalanobis in 1944. Admissions in this course depend on the result in PUBDET, which is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Board. The eligibility for this course is having Mathematics and English in class 12th. As per the new system, this is now a four-year program.
