The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences Fees Structure & Courses 2026, Kolkata

I have enrolled in B.A.LL.B course in the year 2023. Since, I belong to village areas, there were no Legal Awareness, and therefore my aim was to be a Lawyer to bring a change to the situation. To get enrolled at the University, one has to clear Common Law Admission Test an All India Entrance Test. The eligibility for this exam is 10+2 in any of the streams with a minimum of 45% for the general category candidates and 40% for the SC / ST / OBC students. There is no upper age limit in this examination. The admission process of the University includes appearing for CLAT Exam, then its counselling, followed by confirmation, payment, admission fees payment and physical document verification process. Exams are conducted in two semesters- Monsoon semester and Winter semester. After every six months, semester exams are conducted by the University. Academics are setup in such a way that students are required to apply their logical thinking abilities to solve the questions in examination.

For my course, there are 10 semesters. The total fee of my course is around Rs. 18,00,000/-. I have to pay approximately Rs. 1,60,000/- for each semester excluding the admission fee charged in the first year of the course. The academics of this University are very competitive. The only NLU where there is no army quota or sports quota. This University provides a compelling reason to study hard. The moot participation and performance also affect our internal scores. So it becomes mandatory to do some research work and also get participate in the moot competition as it is also a part of the academics.

The fee here including the hostel fee is around Rs. 3,50,000/- but as I am form Kolkata I paid Rs. 2,30,000/- per year as we don’t live in hostel.Read Full Review
