Bharath University

There is a Placement and Training Cell / Placement Department at Deemed University. It is responsible for preparing the students for the employment opportunities that are facilitated to them during the Bharath University Placement drives.

The cell has strong industrial relationships with companies & organisations and invites them to hire the competent students. The students of the University are facilitated with Internship opportunities so that they can gain practical-world experience.

The main campus of the Bharath University covers an area of approximately 305 acres of land. The collective land area of all the campuses of the University is around 603 acres.

The Bharath University Campus is well-equipped with the necessary academic and non-academic amenities to support the all-round development of the students. Wi-Fi connection is available across the premises, and technologically advanced classrooms, lecture halls, smart rooms, etc. are available so that students can learn effectively.

An audio visual centre, media centre, many seminar halls, and conference halls with adequate aids are present in the Deemed University to conduct various academic activities and to enhance the campus experience of the students. Besides this, the University has built ramps & lifts at various blocks so that physically-disabled students get a barrier-free environment.

• Library: The library is located in a multi-storey building wherein requisite learning resources are well-stacked in their dedicated sections. It includes National & International journals, textbooks, CDs, volumes, and titles, to name a few. Reading spaces of varied seating capacities are also there in each of the floors. The library is Wi-Fi enabled and students can access the e-resources and databases like NPTEL, NDL, Shodhganga, etc. using the same.
  Departmental libraries are also there so that students can effortlessly access the specialised study materials. The other facilities available for students include digital library, audio-visual room, multimedia accessories, reference section, circulation service, reprographic service, and so on.
• Laboratories: There are numerous computer labs at Bharath University to enable the students develop their digital skills and complete their academic tasks. In addition to this, many departmental labs are present with the latest tools & equipment so that students acquire the necessary practical skills. Some of the departmental laboratories are as follows:

• Auditorium: BIHER Chennai has an auditorium that is well-equipped with the necessary audio-visual aids. It is used for conducting different academic and non-academic events.
• Canteen: Inside the premises, there is a canteen / cafeteria, juice shop, and other eateries. Here, the students are served with different types of snacks and beverages.
• Hostel: At the University, separate residential facilities are available for the male and female students. The AC & non-AC rooms of the Bharath University Hostels are provided in single and sharing options along with requisite amenities.
  The boarders are provided with adequate facilities to ensure a comfortable stay such as mess, medical services, laundry, and much more.
• Sports: The students of the Bharath University are encouraged to participate in the sports events that are conducted at various levels. The outdoor sports infrastructure includes Courts and Fields for Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Throwball, and several others.
  Moreover, spaces are available for games like Table Tennis, Carrom, and Chess, to name a few. Gymnasium is also available at the campus with adequate training equipment so that students can exercise and maintain their overall health.    
• Transportation: BIHER Chennai owns several buses that travel at various routes across the city at fixed timings. Students can avail these transportation services for travelling daily to and from the campus.
• Medical Facilities: The students are provided with primary medical services at the Health Care Centre present in the campus. In addition to this, in case of medical emergencies, ambulance service is available and medical treatments and care is provided to students at the University’s Hospital.
• Other Facilities: The other facilities available at the Bharath University include Guest House, Bank and ATM, Post Office, Copier Facility, Stationery Store, Souvenir Shop, Moot Court, Theatre, Common Rooms, and to name a few.
