NID Ahmedabad Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

As someone who has experienced it firsthand, I can tell you that the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad has some amazing resources for its students. They have labs dedicated to different areas, such as computer work, photography, and experimenting with materials. These labs provide students with the chance to try out different techniques and materials and improve their design skills. One of the most impressive things about the institute is their design studios. These spaces are bright, spacious, and built to encourage creativity and teamwork. They're equipped with all the tools and equipment that designers need to create their work, like drafting tables, drawing boards, and other essential tools. The campus also has several recreational facilities, including a sports complex, gym, and swimming pool. These areas are great for staying active and healthy, and it's a good way to unwind after a day of hard work. Overall, I'm very impressed with the facilities at NID. They offer everything a student could need to get the most out of their design education. The campus itself is beautiful, and the resources available create an environment that inspires and motivates students to reach their full potential.

College life at NID is amazing! It's an experience that I'll never forget and it has changed me for the better. The school is different than others because it focuses on teaching students new skills, but also on helping them grow and become better people. There are many fun activities outside of class too, like sports and cultural events. These events are held all year and give students chances to show off their skills and hang out with other students. Living in the hostel at NID is a great experience too. The hostel is like a family and everyone is very supportive. You can make friends that last a lifetime and feel like you belong somewhere. Overall, college life at NID is amazing and has helped me grow personally and professionally. NID Ahmedabad is the oldest NIDs of the country but the campus is the newest as both Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad campuses where we switched in between had all the facilities one could ask for. It was with the effort of Gautam and Gira Sarabhai that this institute started and therefore the college has a GG square that is the happening area of the college. There’s a huge hall at GG square and students are seen working on their projects at GG square. There are 7 to 8 buildings at the campus and for textile designing we get to work in a boutique which is inbuilt at the campus. Just beside the boutique there was an open room which had tables and students can take their space and work on their assignments. The college has an open canteen with a seating capacity of 200 students. A large auditorium as each department of the college has their own fest and one combined fest USTAAD which are all celebrated at the auditorium. The campus is great and had facilities enough to make it conducive for us to study.

It was challenging because what people may not realize is that designing is one of the lengthiest courses. Graduation takes 4 years and then PG another 2 and a half. The last semester in which we were freed from books and had to concentrate only at the training was cut short due to Covid. Challenges kept coming but surviving them was the art that we learned at NID.Read Full Review
