Candidates can apply through the online process from the website of the Cambridge Institute of Technology. Candidates can obtain admission at CIT through 3 different processes. They are:
Through CET and counseling
Through management quota
Through COMEDK and counseling
The student should have passed PUC or 12th standard. With compulsory subjects Physics and Mathematics along with one of the optional subjects.
A minimum of 45% marks should be obtained by the students, and it is 40% for OBC/SC/ST candidates.
The candidate should have appeared for one of the entrance exams from JEE/ CET/ AIEEE/ COMED-K.
For NRI and foreign students, the eligibility criteria are the same as for the general category.

CITech Bangalore has a state of art campus as well as laboratories. The institute is situated in the northern part of Bangalore. The campus of CIT is located off Bangalore's International Airport road. Away from pollution and traffic, a green and clean environment is provided by the institute for the students. The institute is specially designed to promote a learning behavior amongst the students of CIT. To promote learning amongst the students the institute provides with 6 textbooks free of cost at the beginning of each semester. The students are asked to keep the books in good condition as they are to be returned by the end of the semester. This practice of the institute ensures that each student has study material and they don't have to buy any. It saves up to Rs. 50k in 4 years.
The central library of the institute is as big as 25 thousand sq. ft. area is covered by it and it was established in 2007. The library provides with both printed and digitalized material for study.
