Formerly started as Silicon Institute of Technology in 2001, the Silicon University gained the status of Private University in 2024. In Odisha, the University has 2 campuses out of which the main one is located in Bhubaneswar and the other is in Sambalpur.
The Institution is approved by AICTE & UGC and is recognised by Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR). Moreover, the University is accredited by the NBA.

Note: Under all the above-listed programs except M.Sc (VLSI), 5% relaxation in the qualifying examination is provided to the students belonging to SC & ST category.
* Students seeking admission in the UG & PG programs have to pay the one-time admission fee apart from the above-listed one which is Rs. 20,000/- and Rs. 10,000/-, respectively. Also, counselling fee need to be paid by the students.
Admission Process
Applications for Silicon University admissions need to be submitted by the eligible students online via its official website. In addition to this, admission in the Institution is totally based on the merit in qualifying examination and University / National / State.
The selection process for the students includes participating in the counseling process that is Silicon University Counselling (SUC) / OJEE Counselling, respective to the programs.
Spot admissions at the campus are also done by the Institution for the students who did not get admission in their desired program.
