Student’s Life at Silicon University

Overall Rating
My overall experience with the university is good. I chose this university as it is very strict about academics and has a good placement record in the past. It conducts summer internship for students after every semester. Many seminar and webinar are conducted for students. Every student gets a faculty advisor who will look after us throughout the 4 years. A student mentor (senior) is also assigned for our help.
 

Academics Rating
I got admission in this university Bhubaneswar through OJEE counseling. The admission process in the university was very easy but a bit time taking. The requirements are as follows: Aadhaar card, 10/12th marksheet, resident certificate, etc. The motive of enrolling in B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering is I want to more about the Electronics world and want to improve my skills in this field. The frequency of exams are like in monthly basis
For every semester, we have to pay Rs. 1,15,000.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are good and helpful. They are very cooperative and understanding. The faculties are highly qualified. My experience with the faculties throughout my semester has been nice. They are very approachable and motivate us throughout. Their methods of teaching are PPTs, group discussion, and blackboard. In my course current semester (2nd), I have 6 faculties for theory subject and 8 faculties for laboratory. The labs are very well organized.
 

Placement Rating
There is a placement cell with offers good help to the students during the placement. Average package is 5 to 6 Lakh. Highest package of last year was 32 LPA and the company was Flipkart.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the university offers residential faculty. The girl’s and boy’s hostel are different. The food in the mess is quite good and is hygienic.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus size is compact but the environment is good for studies. The best part of the university is Skylab where students can enter once they complete their 1st year. Each classroom has a sitting capacity of 60 to 70 students. There are two shops inside the campus and one cafeteria. In addition, there are 2 to 3 mess areas.
 

Campus Rating
There are many clubs such as robotics club, creative club, entrepreneurship development cell, google development cell, IEEE cell, switch club, etc. I am in creative club. Two fests are organised throughout the year one is Zygon during February to March and Rhythm Nova during November to December. The university is bit crowded but is manageable. My overall experience in this university is good. Many extracurricular activities are arranged almost on a daily basis for students.

    Overall, the Silicon University felt a little short for the fees we give. Faculties are good. Some are great. There is Free Wi-Fi. Campus is moderately big. The library is good. It has a Decent environment. Attendance wise it is strict. Exams are moderately difficult, can pass with moderate amount of efforts. You don't have to study throughout the years to ace the exam.     My life in Silicon University is very memorable, exciting, and a bit complicated because all I have done is study. The faculties of this university are very good and understanding.     I joined Silicon University at 2021 and I will be completing my B.Tech journey this year. I got a spot admission here as I was preparing for NEET exam and doing B.Tech was my last minute decision. I think in this institute there are several options and opportunities for students to grow.
