My overall experience for the University is average. The University is having lush green campus, good library, good clubs, and societies. I chose this University just because of my JEE Main rank; this was the best possible option which I had had. This University was also near my hometown and I was getting admission in the top branch here. Therefore, I decided to take admission here. However, recently (2025), it has been ranked on 201-300 band in 'Engineering' Category by NIRF. I am currently 2nd year student at HBTU Kanpur pursuing Leather Technology. It is good for placement. It has strict attendance criteria as students have to maintain at least 75% attendance. Its placement is good for all branches and its alumni network is very strong. It has various clubs, councils, and societies. However, it is good University you can learn many things.Read Full Review

I am a student of HBTU pursuing my Undergraduate program B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. My experience at this university is good. There are some factors that made me choose this particular institute and one of these are its alumni network and it is a government university so it has its own value. One more thing make it different is its 75% criteria attendance. It is not so serious; you can take it for granted. Hostel and campus life is average here.Read Full Review
