The full-time MBA program of SIMS is a 2-year course whose curriculum covers four semesters. This postgraduate course in management has the recognition of AICTE and approved by University of Pune and University Grants Commission (UGC). Some of the subjects which students have to study are organizational behavior, operations research, financial accounting, business statistics, business communication, and human resource management.
For qualifying, the candidate has to be a graduate of a university or institution approved by UGC. The candidate also has to secure at least 50% marks in aggregate in the final exam of his graduate program. Students have the option of specializing in a management related area including marketing, operations, human resource management, and international business.
The ‘Executive MBA’ program offered by this management school has an academic schedule extending up to 2-and-a-half years. This undergraduate program is ideal for professionals and executives looking to boost their skills and knowledge for furthering their careers. Students attend classes on weekdays as well as on weekends in the campus of the institution.

This curriculum has been specially designed for middle and junior level management executives, keeping in mind their career advancement requirements.
Unlike other management institutes, SIMS gives executive PGDM students of doing a specialization in human resource, operations, finance, and marketing. Some of the compulsory papers that students have to read include business statistics, business communication, managerial economics, and financial accounting. At the same time, the applicant should have work or professional experience of at least five years.
SIMS, Pune also admits students for a host of postgraduate diploma programs like PGDPM, PGDBA, PGDHRM, PGDSCM, and PGDBM. Students applying for these postgraduate courses, complete the curriculum in one year or two semesters, each semester of six months. To qualify for the PG diploma programs, the applicant should be a graduate with an aggregate score of 50%.
