SCIT Pune Faculty Profile

Faculty is a great plus to the college, who believe in conceptual learning and continuous peer education with advancement of latest technologies. Each faculty is a PhD holder in interesting fields of techno managerial studies. Their aim does not focus always on placements but a subject oriented and research driven teaching, which is inculcating thirst for learning among us. Trust me, Assignments, test which seem very challenging during the middle of semester will help a lot while giving end semester examinations. Since the education is altogether a techno managerial plate, students with nil coding knowledge can still learn from scratch in the DSDA branch and ITBM (who opted for python) with the basic understanding and advanced materials that faculty provide. Each student will be assigned a mentor who regularly guides the progress of knowledge. As I mentioned earlier research-oriented education is given much value in SCIT where paper submission on one of your interesting areas is given preference with continuous support. Special faculty members seem to be recruited as I have not seen such faculty members in my life. They were co-operative and also the one with experience of working in the corporate sectors. Their teaching style and everything was just too good to be true as they never burdened or pressurized us. Helped in all that we could and also understood in which areas can we contribute? If one wants to see IIM student’s re-union they can come and watch that happen at SCIT. I won’t say most because all of them were IIM graduates. They were aware of how to make student learn and not just theoretically but even during practicals they had surprises in list for us. Their teaching methods were a pure joy because the classes were long but never harsh as in-between jokes and making students sing or share their experiences kept us going. We were always ahead of schedule and faculty members gave us the assurance that they are always available if we had doubts. I was like ‘WoW’, is it true?
